John Vincent Bahrenburg, (nicknamed J.V. by his friends) 16, is a Junior at Simsbury High School. He participates in many theatrical events in the school. This year, he won an honorable mention in the Fall One Acts for his leading role as Jeff in Two For the Road. He was also cast as Rapunzel's Prince in Into The Woods. J.V. also participated in Dinner Theatre and is rehearsing for Mary Martin's Peter Pan with band-mates Alex and Andrew. Along with Alex and Andrew, John is one of the 12 founding members of the Simsbury all male a cappella group, "The C-Men." He enjoys singing in his high school's select chorale.
John played football during his Freshman and Sophomore years and later decided that it was not a passion. He is considering taking up Track and Field at the end of this year but would rather focus on his drumming, theatrical and vocal skills. John loves the ladies, and can be considered a hopeless romantic or a huge flirt depending on the way you view him. He loves his music and movies, and is currently reconstructing his basement into a finished room where he, his friends and iJAM can relax and practice for the next two years.
For future plans, John wishes to get out of Connecticut and see the country a bit more. He wants to remain somewhat close to his hometown to be near old friends, yet far enough away so that he can grow as a person. He's seriously considering Salve Regina University, or another school of that nature and locale. He wants to major in English education and become an English teacher. He may even publish a few books.
John holds the band and his friends his the highest regards, and will always have their backs. He hopes to continue with iJAM for as long as possible, and will always carry a close friendship with his bandmates. |
