I finished reading Jo’s letter. I was first back from the interview to find the room empty and just this letter. I grabbed the letter and ran out the room.

All I knew was that I couldn’t let her go now. I had really fallen for her and if I couldn’t find her now I’d never find her. I didn’t know her address or even her last name. I didn’t even know if she liked me but I had to tell her how I felt and Ben had said she liked me.

I ran past Ben coming out the lift.

"Where’re you going?" Ben asked.

"To cease the day!" I said leaving a bewildered Ben behind the lift doors.

She wasn’t to be seen in the lobby so I bolted for the only other place I knew, the Underground.

I was a nervous wreck as I searched for Kensington and found the only line going through was the Circle line so I bombed down the elevators past the morning rush and ran out onto the platform.

I scanned the platform praying she would be there and suddenly I saw her. She was standing by herself near the end of the platform so I barged my way through muttering my apologies.

"Mark!" Jo exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you, what do you think," I said.

"Oh right," Jo said. "For a particular reason?"

"Coz I want you to stay," I said nervously biting my lip.

She didn’t make me wait, "Ok," she said smiling.

I smiled back in relief, "So do I have to convince you to stay?"

"Depends what you want to do!" she replied.

I stepped closer and put my arms round her waist. I stared into her blue eyes for a while then slowly lowered my head and kissed her softly on the lips. I pulled away and she grinned at me and putting her arms round my neck pulled me back down.

I kissed her harder but she pulled away and pointed at her lip, "It’s still a bit tender, you’ll have to be gentle with me."

So we kissed again softly and sweetly in the middle of the platform oblivious to all the people around us.
