II0W is the special call given to a team of italian hams to activate the grid JN51.
This rare square lay down mostly on the tyrrenian see but few sq. kms are into the Macchiatonda natural reserve, located 50 Kms north of Rome in the consular via Aurelia, and thanks to the park authority this grid can be activated.

Operations 2003
Operation have been conducted starting saturday 21st june 2003 till the late afternoon of sunday 22nd on 6 meters and 2 meters SSB, CW and FSK441. 823 qso have been made and we have been spotted hundreds of time. Thanks to all the station that called us.


Operations 2004
As Usual we took advantage of IARU Region 1 contest that took place starting saturday 19th june 2004 till the late afternoon of sunday 20th and we worked on 6 meters as well as 2 meters and 40/20 meters SSB, CW and FSK441. 304 total qso have been made.
