The Legend of the Drama Club Grill

Don’t worry Gary! It’ll ALL be explained.....
It all began on a day named June the 22nd of the year
2002. Mr. Akers, the former Ironwood
High School Theater teacher was moving.
He asked for assistants. Eight
brave laborers showed up. Brian
McCarthy and Brandon K. Baker showed first and put in some time of packing and
hard labor, when Mr. Michael Billar, now of Millennium High School showed up
and began to help. After becoming lost
with directions, Dan Timko raised attendence.
Kyle Clayton would come and focus more on his Stripper in a Can than any
work going on. Amber Cassise would
shuttle over Steve Vance and soon Brian Cannon would come, rounding out the
work force. Everything was moved and
it was announced it was time to clear out the fridge before moving it. When announced that the brave workers could
have whatever they wanted from the fridge, the man they called Timko plowed
into the house. Small children and
animals are lucky they were not in attendence, for their lives would have been
lost in that moment.... While taking
out the piles of year old meat and dumping them and enjoying Gatorade and cola
beverages, there came a package of burger patties. After that, the Special Grain bread and shredded cheese was
found. With these products not yet
passed expiration, there could be a meal made.
A meal called “Cheeseburgers”. McCarthy
had the clever idea and Baker pushed for it.
The two wandered outside to find Akers on his truck named “U-haul” and
asked if they could use the grill out front.
The grill labeled “FOR SALE - $75”.
Akers gave permission to do so and told the duo, the President and Vice
President of next year to keep the grill.
The boys were overjoyed. McCarthy
enlisted the aide of Steve Vance to help him make burgers. 5 of the 8 enjoyed the burgers, three
refused. While awkward on the Special
Grain bread, the burgers were eaten.
The grill was then washed in some Three Stooge like moments featuring
Baker, Timko and McCarthy. Excluding
gory details just imagine Brandon K. Baker with a hose, Brian McCarthy with the
thing that the grease falls into and Dan Timko with his giddy giggle like that
of a little girl.... Now the trick was
to get it to a new location. Christmas
wrapping paper was found in the garage and used to wrap that grill up.... The official Drama Club Grill has arrived.
The
story is true and happened as told above.
