PLENTARY SPEAKER:  LORD AHMED NAZIR

 Lord Nazir Ahmed is the first Pakistani member of the House of Lords. He founded the British Muslim Councillors’ Forum, and is a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights Commission. He has previously served as Chair for the South Yorkshire Labour Party and as Vice-Chair of the South Yorkshire Euro-constituency Party.

Andre Frankovitz
André  Frankovits is Executive Director of the Human Rights Council of Australia, Inc. and consultant on the Human Rights Strengthening Project (HURIST) for the UNDP and the Office of the High Commissioner.

His paper, Towards a Mechanism for the Realization of the Right to Self-determination, served as recommended reading for the First International Conference on the Right to Self-determination. 

Karen Parker
Karen Parker is Chief/Delegate of the International Educational Developmental/Humanitarian Law Project at the UN.  She is an attorney specializing in human rights and humanitarian (armed conflict) law.  Her annual "Armed Conflict Around the World:  A Country by Country Review" is published by the Parliamentary Human Rights Group (UK).

Dr. G. N. Fai
Dr. Fai is Executive Director of the Kashmiri American Council, Washington. Since 1989, he has been Editor in Chief of the Kashmir Report. He is the founding chairman of the UK-based Kashmir Press International.

Prof. James Craven (
Blackfoot name: Omahkohkiaayo i'poyi)
James Craven is an official spokesperson for the Blackfoot Nation, and a longtime activist for indigenous rights.  He is Professor of Economics, Head of the Economics Department and Chairman of the Business Division at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington.
