| Displaying Your MLP Collection |
| Displaying your MLP collection is my favourite part. Suddenly, all of your hard work collecting your ponies is worth it and now you get to enjoy looking at your beautiful ponies. So after you have cleaned them all up, you want to show them off, right? There are MANY ways to display your ponies, here are some of the most popular: * Shelves * Where ever you can find enough room ;) * Storing them in containers Personaly, i think storing them in containers to maintain there quality kind of sucks. I mean, what's the point of spending time collecting something you enjoy and love, to then put them away in a box where you can't see them? If you are planning on storing them to later sell, than yes, this would be the way to go, but I say, if your ponies are for your own enjoyment, then ENJOY them, put them on display for the world to see! However, there are a few rules you should follow so that your ponies will stay looking their best for years to come: * Keep them out of direct sunlight, and if possible, always close the curtains when not in the room. Follow this rule especialy if you have a pink haired pony, as there hair fades over time. * Keep them high enough off the ground if you have animals or children so that they can't reach. *Never put ink near your pony, it is like a permanent tattoo * Keep hem in an area that stays cool If you are planning on storing them, then here are some things to know: *some websites recomend writing the name of the pony and other info on a card, then putting your pony and card in a plastic bag. DON'T do this!!! Even if you turn the card around so it isn't facing your pony, there is still a chance of the ink running and destroying a wonderful pony! However, putting them in a plastic bag is a good idea, and then storing them in those big plastic bins. You can then write on the outside of the box with a sharpie and info you feel is neccesary. *do not store them in basements or attics, keep them in a place which is also suitable for you to live. You don't want them getting stinky mildew or anything like that! |
