The actual submission is known by 3 different names - The Japanese Stranglehold, The Arm Crucifix, and the Rings of Saturn version 2.0. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT the ORIGINAL Rings of Saturn. The submission is performed on a grounded opponent while Keltrane is STANDING. It is difficult to explain in text, so I suggest looking for a video clip of the move, or playing TEKKEN 3/TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT/TEKKEN 4 with KING. He has a chain throw that consists of a go behind cobra clutch-into-russian legsweep-into the arm crucifix. Brief Background History (shorter the better): A bored, overly educated rich kid who used the extra free time and money his family had to become quite adept in many forms of fighting. From his early teens, he was involved in underground Marseilles cage fighting before being introduced to professional wrestling. He is viscious, vain, and uncaring about many of his opponents.... but the lime light of center stage and fan support are slowly getting to him. Although he thinks himself of a higher order than those around him, honor is an especially important part of victory to him. 5 Things wrestler likes ~ 1 - Himself/Personal Glorification: Keltrane thinks himself better than everyone else, so naturally glory is the most important part of his agenda - and the thing that gives him the most satisfaction. 2 - Honor - Hand-in-hand with glory, honor is the second most important thing to Keltrane. Honor is measured by respect.... however this does not include rulebreaking. Where Donovan was taught to fight, there were no rules... and he holds to this belief as much as possible. It is other actions and words that Keltrane takes into account. 3 - Fire - Keltrane seems to have a natural affinity for this element. In fact, he seems to have willful control over it, at times.... very.. supernatural. 4 - Pain/Causing pain - Something of a sadist/masochist attribute. Keltrane considers "pain" and it's creation an art form. He takes this very seriously and, through digilent practice in the ring(and before, in the Marseilles cages), has become very adept at both giving and receiving such punishment. He is highly unlikely to tap out, and is quite content to wrench on a submission hold for as long as it takes to make his opponent submit. He enjoys causing damage, and, in most cases, will target a single area on an opponent... sculpting their newly created weak point into a masterful work of "Art". 5 - Beautiful women - Does this really need to be explained? A pretty girl can be a magnet.... although Keltrane can be very cryptic with his actions. 5 things wrestler dislikes ~ Egoists: Despite being one himself, Keltrane despises those who think they are a cu above the rest. Moreover, he enjoys destroying them. 2 - Backstabbing/Betrayal: Although he seems to put up with it when it comes from Rage(most likely due to the sheer destruction they cause, whether they are partners or opponents), Keltrane will quite literally go insane for a bit when betrayed. Very little will stop him from seeking vengeance as he believes betrayal is the darkest stain one can have on one's honor. 3 - Backstabbing broads: See above, except the offending women usually gets theres much more swiftly and then the subject is dropped. 4 - Bleeding: Causing Keltrane to bleed will make him go a bit crazy... especially if from the face. His vanity is threatened; he becomes furious. 5 - People stealing ideas/moves/etc. from him: They say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery... well, Keltrane greatly disagree with them. If you copy Keltrane, Keltrane will crush you. Ask Scott Sexton... Keltrane and Rage put him to rest very quickly... and all he did was try to blow fire in Rage's face. |
