| Parallel Universe boasts five races one would expect to find in any good role playing game. Each race is unique in that they vary the attributes of your character. Very occasionaly you will also find something that is specific to one race.Attribute modifiers indicate modifications to starting statistics. Beneficial attribute is the attribute that automatically goes up each time you increase level. Humans Humans are the most common race in arangar. They incur little bonuses or penalties. Humans are good throughout the classes, but most noticeably the Knight. Class Restrictions- None Attribute Modifiers- Influence + 6, Intellegenc + 3, Knowledge + 3, Strength + 6, Skill + 3 Benificial attribute: Skill Dwarves Dwarves are short stocky fellows, easily identifiable by their shape and size. They are often of light complexion with ruddy cheeks. The dwarf have remarkable constitution and thus specialize in the hardier melee combat classes. Class Restrictions- Wizard, Battlemage, Assasin Attribute Modifiers- Strength + 8, Endurance + 8, Skill + 3 Benificial Attribute- Endurance Halflings Halflings are short, stout people, much like small humans. They are easily distinguishable from dwarves because of their cheerful demeanor. Their feet are covered with fur and often they will travel bare footed. Halflings are very agile, hard to hit and thus make good theives. Class Restrictions- Knight, Paladin, Barbarian Attribute Modifiers- Endurance + 7, Agility + 10, Skill + 3 Beneficial Attributes- Agility Gnomes Gnomes are distanly both similiar to both Dwarves and Halflings. Gnomes are smaller than both and less rotund. They often have dark skin and largish noses. Most Gnomes are rather inactive and prefer to study and learn because they are unsuited for combat. Gnomes are excellent spellcasters, especially Clerics due to their vast amounts of knowledge. | Parallel Universe contains 13 different classes, each containing its own options. Each class is unique and has different strengths and weaknesses, choose your class carefully as this will determine how you play Parallel Universe. Each classes primary attributes will increase automatically each time you increase level. Each class also has restrictions as to what equipment and weapons they can wear. Cleric The cleric is the healer of the community. They are often held in high regard by most of the citiziens and even the theives tend to choose the clerics as their last victim. Clerics have a different set of spells to wizards yet they are pwoerful in their own way. The cleric is also considered more physically able than a wizard. Primary Attributes- Knowledge, Magical Aptitude Warrior The warrior is a fighter through and through. Specific at nothing yet handy with everything. Warriors are an easy class to start with because the combat comes in handy early on. Primary Attributes- Skill, Strength. Ranger The ranger is very much lke the warrior, except his duties lie in the woods. Thus he is very adept at tracking and his preffered weapon is the bow. Again, the ranger is an easy class to start with. Primary Attributes- Skill, Endurance. Druid The druid is the forest's version of the cleric. They serve nature and often live amongst the wilderness. They draw on the powers of nature to help preserve the natural balance of the world. Due to the rigous of the forest, they are slightly more attuned to ways of combat than the cleric, but sacrifice a small part of magic strength. Paladin The paladin is a warrior bold and pure. They are the protector of the preist's guild. Like the warrior, they are men of combat, but the paladin also has use of priest magic, though in lesser form. They represent all the qualities that man should have and strive to acheive this. Primary Attributes- Strength, Magical Aptitude. Assasin Assasin's are a mixture between the rogue and the warrior. They use their ability to remain undetected to steal or kill. Assasin's aree often a withdrawn type, but their skill is a valuable one to the guild. Primary Attributes- Skill, Agility Rogue The rogue is the pickpocketter, pilfer and smuggler. Whether the victim is a peasent or a noble, they live buy their wits, cunning and dexterity. The rogue is highly adept at his job and his talents that go with it, this includes combat. Primary attributes- Skill, Agility Bard If there was evre a nice rouge, it would be the bard. They travel the world, picking up stories and crafts. They are the jack of all trades but master of none. These trades include both types of magic and combat. Primary Attributes- Agility, Magical Aptitude. Barbarian Barbarians are very much like savage warriors, renoun for their sheer strength rather than an abundace of skill. Hence Barbarians will tend to do large amounts of damage but will not find striking the enemy as easy as the warrior. Primary Attributes- Strength, Endurance |

| Knight Knight is the social elite of the Fighters guild. Trained both in combat and etiquitte, the knight is slightly more versatile than the warrior and ranger, though not quite as dedicated to fighting. What he loses in combat though he more than makes up for in influence. Primary Attributes- Strength, Influence Wizard The wizard strives to master all magical energies. The wizard is physically the least able and are rarely seen adventuring alone. But a high level wizard is a match for anyone. The wizard class is an extremely potent one once you reach the high levels. Primary Attributes- Magical aptitude, Intellegence. Spellsword The spellsword is a fighter who used the ways of wizradry to enhance his skills. They are a master of neither but blend each class to make a formidable enemy. Spellswords are often seen apprenticing a mage and acting as their retinue. Primary Attributes- Skill, Magical Aptitude. Battlemage The battlemage is similar to the wizard but spends most time concentrating on destructive magic.The downside of this is he is less influential than the wizard, due to his single mindedness. His spells will have the tendancy to do more damage. Primary attributes- Magical Atitude *2 |
