Vancouver Will Rely Heavily on Key Players!
The Vancouver Canucks and their General Manager Spencer Cawker have already begun talking about how heavily they must rely on their key players in IFHLs 2003-2004 Inngural Season.  GM Spencer Cawker was quoted "Our key players such as Markus Naslund, Todd Bertuzzi, Ed Jovanovski, Matias Ohlund, and especially Dan Cloutier must come up huge ever single time they hit the ice surface in order for the Vancouver Canucks to be a Stanley Cup contender."  GM Spencer Cawker also feels that the Canucks have a good shot at winning the cup this year as he feels the have a fair amount of depth at all positions.  However, he did say that the organization definetly needs a backup goaltender, as well as a 3rd line center.  The Canucks are a fairly young organization however, GM Spencer Cawker still feels that the organization must get younger in order to succeed in IFHLs later years!
New Jersey Devils Hire New GM!
The New Jersey Devils shocked the hockey world when they announced that the team will come under new management, effective immediately. Mark Stefenelli will take over as General Manager for the franchise and the team is looking positive.

"I am a long time Devils fan so this is an experience of a life time. I know that this team is going to continue to be a success because under my system the team will continue to focus on what has brought so much success to the Devils, defense. I am a fanatic about defensive play and I will make it a point to keep only those players that can play both ends of the ice. We are about to begin training camp and we'll see who remains."
