General info: My interest in Film and Video production began many years ago in High School with
8mm film and pre-VHS video tape. After completing a degree in Radio/TV/Film from UW Fox Valley,
I worked at Cablevision (now Time Warner) on local television programs. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s I worked as a radio/television engineer with Woodward Communications, EMI of Wisconsin and
Wisconsin Public Television and Radio. For the past 6 years I have been working as Video Production
Manager with Interactive Learning Services, a Wisconsin State Agency that produces educational video and documentary films.
I also have a couple of part-time ventures; for many years I have also worked as a live sound/recording
engineer. Among the many artists I have mixed live shows for are: Freddy Fender, The Grass Roots
and Barlow Girl.
I have produced and engineered two music CDs; The Replay Band and Tuba Christmas.
With my new company; Bill Moede Films, I produce wedding videos, stage production videos, gradu-
ation and retirement photo montages, music videos and documentary and travel films.
Presently my equipment of choice is:
Video Editing; Final Cut Pro / Studio 5 on Apple G5 tower.
Audio Finishing; Adobe Audition on an HP laptop.
Audio Formats; ADAT and direct to hard drive.
Video Tape Formats; DVCAM and Mini-DV Cameras; Canon XL1, XL2 and GL2.
