| Once there was a widow named Lynn who lived all alone in a quiet house in the country. She was going to move and was packing up some of her recently deceased husband's stuff one day, when the temperature dropped dramatically. When she went to check the thermostat, it showed no difference in the temperature so she figured it must've been broken and decided to call someone to fix it. As she passed the large mirror in the hallway, she thought she saw another reflection in the mirror, but it cleared in a minute so she couldn't be sure. A few days later, it happened again. Again, the thermostat showed no change. Remembering she had never called anyone to fix it, she promised to after her favorite TV show ended. When she passed the mirror, she saw a shadow again but it didn't clear up. It was of a shadow, nothing more, but it was slightly transluclent. Its shape kept changing, kinda like water. Lynn looked behind the mirror but saw nothing. Now Lynn was really scared. The figure was still there bet it kept coming closer and closer. Lynn screamed but no one heard. Closer and closer IT came... A friend of Lynn's came by later. She knocked and knocked, but when there was no answer, she called the cops. The cop only found a TV and boxes. The case was unsolved and the house was put for sale again. A few years later, a small family from the city moved in. Everything went fine until the thermostat dropped. The little girl went to tell the parents that she was cold, but once again, the thermostat showed no change. So she returned to playing with her dolls in her room. Luckily, she didn't look behind her. If she had, she would have seen a shadow peeking out from the mirror. But then her parents came in to say that the thermostat was broken and they would call someone to fix it. As they said this, it returned to normal so they never called. Weeks later, the temperature dropped while she was brushing her hair before the mirror. This time she saw the shadow coming closer nd closer to her. She screamed and her parents came in to check on her but, of course, they didn't believe her and took her to see a psychologist for a few months. The little girl ended up believing nothing had happened. This would have been fine if a year later, the temperature hadn't dropped again. She was alone and experimenting with make-up. She saw a shadow in the mirror but didn't bother to call out- there was no one to hear her cries. So once again, IT came closer and closer... |
