| Dylan was having the best time of his life. He was sailing with his father for the whole summer... and his annoying little sister Rose only had to be there for one more day. Then he had 6 weeks of just him, his dad, the boat, and the vast ocean. "What dumb music are you listening to now?" asked Rose, snatching his headphones from his and the CD player from his hand. "Give that back!!" he yelled, reaching for the CD player. "Why should I? You always take my stuff." his sister replied. " No I don't," Dylan retorted. "Who would want your junk, anyway?" " It's not junk!" Rose raced to the front of the boat and dangled Dylan's CD player off the edge. "Now you'll never see your precious CD player again, just for calling it that!" She dropped the CD player and watched it sink into the clear water. Dylan leaped off the boat and plunged into the water in a graceful dive. At that moment, his father turned on the motor and yelled to his kids to hold on to something because they were going back to shore. Underwater, Dylan looked for his CD player. He didn't see it, but all of a sudden he heard a loud rumble and felt himself being pulled toward the back of the boat, toward the motor... Dylan was never seen again. |
