The young woman started to think of walking on the dark road. The more she thought the more she got scared. "What if someone mugs us!?" She kept thinking to herself.The car slowing died and the couple had no choice, but to walk. The man pulled a flashlight from under his drivers seat and got out. The two started up the rocky road walking into the darkness.
They had been walking for about two hours when they came upon a two story house out in the middle of nowhere. It looked as if the people who lived there kept the place up and running. It didn't look like one of those houses out of the "Adams family" or something like that, it was pretty nice. The two decided to ask the people who lived there for some help or to use their phone.
The man knocked on the door, after a second or two a middle aged couple came to the door. They both had gray hair wrinkled skin and nice white skin. They looked like something of Dorothy's Aunty Ann and her Uncle off of the "Wizard of Oz". They looked great for their old age. The young couple told their problem to the elders and asked them if they could stay the night there until they could get to their car with some gas. The older couple grinned and said yes. They greeted the younger couple with open arms. They all sat down for a nice supper and chatted before they all laid their heads down for the night.
The older couple waved as the two walked to their car the next morning. The older couple had given them some gas that they had for the lawn mower. It was just enough to get to a gas station. When they pulled into a diner to get more gas and some coffee they told the people in there about the old couple that had helped them out and how they stayed had stayed the night there. Well, to the people in the dinner it sounded strange. The people in that town knew everyone because it was so little a town. The people told the couple that the house they were describing burnt to the ground ten years ago and the old couple died in the house while it burned. The people told them that the police decided it was suicide. The two looked at each other in disbelief.
They decided to look for themselves and get the strange and unknown filling out of their body.(Daniella's Note:Hostess that's the stuff!) When they pulled up all that was there from the house was a black charred shell that had burnt ten years and ago. When the frightened couple drove off to their home the wind started to pick up and two images appeared in the window up stairs.
