Bloody Mary, although I highly doubt "bloody" was a part of her name, has many stories surrounding her. My friend told me one about Mary somehow falling into blood and being laughed at by everyone else. this angered her so much that if you call her "Bloody Mary" now, she'll still return to get her revenge. A similar story is that a woman practicing black magick got into a car crash, bled profusely, and died. Another popular story is that the real Mary was a mirror witch who was burned at the stake for practicing the black arts and can still be summoned by people who call her name. She's always described as having long nails, mean, and covered in blood.

First, I have to say I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think many people will take my word for it, so please finish reading and decide for yourself.
The most popular version of the game is as follows:
1) Go into a place with a decent-sized mirror and turn out the lights.
2) Light two candles ((this isn't necessarily necessary)).
3) Close your eyes and chant "Bloody Mary" three times.
There are many other ways to do it. in some you have to chant a ridiculous ammount of times, in others you say something else, in some you have to spin in circles while you say it. it all depends on where you live.
When I was in grade school, my friend Ashley told me a but similar story about a hunter. The chant, although I don't remember it perfectly, had "hunter" and possibly another word in it. Ashley said that after you said it four times, you had one minute to run and hide. After that, the Hunter would look for you for 15 minutes. Oddly, I recall being able to see the Hunter. Not perfectly, but I could see him. Ashley was hit first, and then me a few mins later. It stung a little, but that was it. When only a couple minutes remained, we were all called inside. Mandy hadn't been hit yet, and as we were walking down the hill, she suddenly fell over. She got up and looked at her arm to find a somewhat small circular cut there. I suppose some would say that we imagined feeling and seeing this, which could be the case, but I still think Mandy's cut is weird.
What will happen?
Any range of resutle, from nothing to having your eyes gouged out, can occur. Some people just see a face in a mirror, and some see hands coming out of the mirror to scratch their face. Some people say Bloody Mary can pull you through the mirror. Some people have been found in a dark bathroom with their eyes gouged out after playing this game. Most people that have had some sort of an experience become scared of mirrors. I've heard stories of the walls bleeding. Obviously, anything short of an old woman singing "I'm a little teapot" can occur.
