| Three best friends, Melissa, Sarah, and Hannah were going on a camping trip. They were in a seculded area well covered with trees. The nearest house was miles away and they were enjoying a wonderful spring break by the campfire. One night, while roasting marshmellows, they decided to tell scary stories. Sarah went first, "Hey guys, have you ever heard the story of The Letterman? It's supposed to be true, plus it originated around here." Melissa snorted. "The Letterman? What moron came up with that?" Hannah and Melissa laughed but Sarah started to tell the story. "There's supposedly a psycho who calls himself The Letterman. He walks around in a big black cloak with letters all over it and-" But she was interrupted by her friends' laughter. "Ohh, scary." Melissa joked. Then Hannah chimed in, "Sarah, you can't be serious. He sounds like a Sesame Street character! 'What is the letter today, children?' 'J?' 'No!! Now I'm going to stab you!'" and they all errupted in laughter. After a minute or two, Sarah continued. "Anyway, as ledgend goes, The Letterman escaped from the insane assylum and spends his time looking for people to kill. When he sees some victims, he waits untill he finds out their names and then takes them to his cabin, deep in the woods. He kills them by the first letter of their name. Like if your name was...Patty, you might be poisoned. My dad told me he's still out there somewhere." No one joked this time, they were too busy trying to figure out what method of murder dtarted with their first initial. "Lets go to bed, it's getting late." Hannah whispered. But before they were able to get up, they were stopped by Sarah's scream. Looking over, they saw a man in a big black cloak with letters on it. He knocked out Sarah and advanced toward them. Hannah and Melissa ran as fast as they could and then turned to help Sarah. Unfortunatly, The Letterman was waiting for them and knocked the both of them out in a similar fashion. One by one, they were dragged to his car and then taken to a cabin, deep in the woods. When they awoke, they were tied to a chair. "Guys, we have to get out of here!" Melissa whispered. But The Letterman came in then and undid Sarah's ropes wordlessely. He dragged he to a corner and pulled a knife out of his pocket and stabbed her. Then he advanced on Hannah. He picked he up and placed her on a stool. Then he took a rope out of his pocket and fashioned it into a noose. Adjusting it to fit her, The Letterman placed it on Hannah's neck and attached it to the ceiling. Hannah and Melissa began to cry. The Letterman kicked the stool out from under feet. Hannah had been hung. The Letterman turned to Melissa. "You're the tricky one. I haven't seen a M name for a while. What to do, what to do." What a psycho, what a psycho. Melissa thought. Melissa was left there for two days straight, but The Letterman never returned to murder her. Finally, he came back. "UGH! I HATE YOU! There's NO way to murder you! I'm going to let you go, but I warn you, if you ever tell anyone about me, I will kill you. And trust me, I'll know." With that he mugged her and drove off. When Melissa was 30 and happily married with two children, Zoe and Zack (she named them, lol), visions of her best friend's death still haunted her sleep. Her husband, Charlie was worried. He often urged her to telll him about her past. "I can't say. I promised I wouldn't and if I tell you, w'll all be in trouble." Melissa said every time. Charlie decided to try again. "How would anyone know?" Melissa considered. "Ok, but you can't tell anyone." Charlie agreed and Melissa told him the story of The Letterman. "Woah." Was all Charlie could say. They decided to move to a secluded house by the mountains. One night, while they were asleep, The Letterman broke in. Instead of taking them to his cabin, he did the murders at their house. First, he choked Charlie. Then, oddly enough, he used...zippers (the big, sharp kind?) to make Zoe and Zack bleed to death. Painful. He had taken them to a far closet to kill them, and Melissa couldn't hear screams because they had been gagged. When she awoke and opened the closet looking for them, she saw what had been done, The Letterman had returned. Melissa ran again, this time to the outskirts of some unknown little town. She didn't want to be seen with anyone, they would die if seen with her. But she was mad and looking for revenge. Melissa decided to go on one last camping trip. She returned to that cabin way in the woods where she had been so many years ago. She looked in all the windows to make sure no one was home first and snuck in. When the Letterman arrived, he went straight to sleep, tired from a long day of ax murdering. Melissa locked the doors and blocked them from the outside. Gragging her backpack and sneaking into his room, she managed to tie his hands and feet together without waking him up. Then Melissa turned on the lights, quickly gagging and duct taping him to a chair before he fully awoke. She pulled a err... zipper out of her backpack and hit him with it saying "This is for Zoe and Zack!" Then she bagan to ckoke him-but not to death. "This is for Charlie!" Then she took out a knife and stabbed him. "This is for Sarah!" Finally, she placed him on a stool and hung him-"This is for Hannah!" |
