Cloning research must be fostered by nations.
Leaving the country is betraying your nation.
Genetic engineering: a new disease.
Distance education is by far superior to the traditional kind .

The class will be divided into groups of four students

On the given date, after having done a great deal of research on the topic, two groups will be chosen at random and, also at random, their position_ either in favour or against the statement_ will be decided.

    STAGES OF THE DEBATE:

    a. INTRODUCTION (1-2 minutes)

The first speaker of the positive position will

introduce their point of view followed by the first

        speaker of the negative position.

    b. DEVELOPMENT (5 minutes)

First, the second speaker of the positive position

followed by the one of the negative position.

and speaker 3 of the negative one. Discussion trying

to undermine the other group´s standpoint.

position they have supported throughout the debate

        without mentioning/adding new information.

Current Results

Both the teacher (Judge) and the students (audience) will determine the debate winners, taking into account: depth of the arguments put forward by each team, speaking skills, poise, control of time restraints, language fluency and accuracy.
