IEMI S.A. was set up on 1968, and kept his registered mark till 1990 at the following production profiles: measurement instruments, radiocommunication equipment and military radio stations. In 1990, under the same registered mark, it became a joint-stock company.

Major activities R&D comprise:

Quality approach

our quality control system

is based on ISO 9001 standard.

IEMI S.A. quality system has been evaluated by the Military Committee for certification, Accreditation and Supervision (omcas) and the Committee for Certification, Acreditation and Supervision of the Ministry of Interior (CCAS). Consequently, our Quality System has been certified as complying with Ministry of defense requirements ng omcas-02.01 and SR en iso 9001 (in appendix). This system is applied to design and production of special equipment (military purpose) for radiocommunication and electronic measurement products.

IEMI S.A. has specialised testing labs with specific endowment, authorized by NATIONAL BUREAU COUNCIL OF LEGAL METROLOGY STANDARDS AND QUALITY OFFICE and has an abilitated control office for military products acceptance.

The quality of production is permanently supervised not only by final control, but during all manufacturing processes by tests in iemi's metrological checks lab, mecanical precision measurements lab, climatic tests lab (climatic cycles, salt mist), shock and vibration tests lab, chemistry and electrochemistry lab, specialised electronically measurement lab also by the activity of the metrological repairs and maintenance lab and of the service workshop.
