Dear ALL,

After our mega celebrations with few combined festivals, we are almost preparing to welcome the New Year 2005. However, prior to that on 26^th DEC, Tsunami - Tidal Waves had attacks several areas in few of Asian countries including Malaysia.

In view of this Waves of Death Disaster, we Young Engineers in collaborating with our seniors from The Institutions of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) has put up our efforts to raise up the IEM Tsunami Relief Fund. We have lined-up some rehabilitation works to be carried out to help the disaster's victims as well.

Please come forward to donate as much as you can. Let’s lend a hand together to Show Them We Care.

This month we have organised the IEM G&S Technical Delegation to Japan which is scheduled to be on April 2005. We would like to invite members to the IEM G&S Japan Delegation Press Launch on coming 27th January 2005.

Besides that, we have our monthly and/or weekly activities such as courses, seminars, talks, visits, social works and sports activities to our valued members. Please help yourselves to surf the web and find more interesting activities which has lined-up for the coming weeks.

6) Newly Elected General Member - Sdr. Cheng Wei Loon & Co-opted Members - Sdr. Ivan Tan & Sdr. Bernard Tan Congratulations to Sdr. Cheng, Sdr. Ivan & Sdr. Bernard who has been elected to fill the various position in the G&S Section.
7) YEAFEO 11 - The 11th Young Engineers of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisation Conference - Yangon, Myanmar A breakthrough event for ASEAN Young Engineers. Catch the photos and the joy and fun of several G&S members together with the rest of the ASEAN Young Engineers.
8) Facelift for Old Folks and Children Home at Kepong Homes A truly IEM G&S event to uplift the life of the needy through our engineering knowledge.
9) Two-day short course on principles and design of electrical system in buildings & One-day short course on planning and operation of high tension distribution network. - (2-4 December 2004) A well attended course by our prolific speaker.
