Stair Imagemap (Assignment #12)

State the Problem:
	I need to create a webpage using imagemap and create at
	least five links. The imagemap must cover at least ¼ of 
	the page. I also need to write a stair assignment explaining 
	the process that I've gone through to complete the assignment. 
	All this is due by midnight April 6, 2001.

Tools:
	Brain: I need to think about a topic that I will use for this 
	particular webpage.
	Computer: I need my computer to create the webpage on.
	Books, Notes, Lecture: I need to read the books and listen to 
	the lecture to learn about imagemaps.
	Notepad: I need notepad to write down the html coding.
	Communication Software 3.5: I need this program to ftp my work 
	to the server.

Algorithym:
	My plan is to find a topic first that I want to create my webpage 
	about. Then I need to find a background,  and graphics that match 
	the theme. Then I will need to create the imagemap on a specific 
	graphic that I will choose and then I will test my page on different 
	browser. Both IE and Netscape. If everything is working fine then I 
	will ftp the page to the server.

Implementation:
	I thought of use some of my favorite sites that I have about planning 
	wedding and general bridal information. I had the sites on my favorites' 
	list so, I needed to find appropriate background and graphics for my 
	bridal theme. I made a search through Copernic and found many different 
	sites with plenty of backgrounds and graphics. I chose the ones I liked 
	and arranged them on my webpage. Then I created the imagemap and used five 
	links. The imagemap was on the different parts of the main picture of a couple 
	that I had. Clicking on the groom's, bride's and bridemaid's faces take you 
	to three different links. Clicking on the hands of the couple and the pillow 
	takes you to another two link, totalling five. I checked my page both on IE 
	and Netscape and it was working properly. So, as a final step I ftp'd my page 
	to the server.

Refinement:
	I'm actually quite happy with the overall page. I may put next time a background 
	music appropriate to the theme.
