Fundamentals of Web Design (Assignment #6)



1)The names of the sites and their web addresses are:
A) "Why I Carry Politics of Self-Defense by Paul Hager"
		www.paulhager.org
B) "Rockman ET AL Bringing Technology and Leraning Together"
		www.rockman.com

2)A) The problem that the site is addressing is about citicen's right to carry arms 
for Self-defense.
B) Rockman ET AL is an independent research and consulting firm that specializes in
the application of technology in order to meet educational and business learning 
needs.The company provides research, evaluation, and consulting for corporations
and educational organizations.

3)A) The audience for this website is voters and anyone interested on self-defense.
B) The audience for this website is educators, researchers, technology companies and 
anyone interested in the topic of technoloy  and learning.

4)A) The site uses two pictures of Paul Hager (a portariat and a picture with his gun). 
they also use the  graphic of a picture of the statue of liberty as  their  
contact information symbol.
B) This website uses a picture of a part of their office builiding and also 
background design and a divider to divide their information from their headings
such as home, about us, projects, etc.

5)A) This website does not use much of colors. They have a white background and
a blue graphic of the statue of liberty on the main page.  Under introduction, 
journals, and other wirtings on 2nd amendment they use gray background. Other 
than these colors I see graphics and colors under the different sites on the 
links section.
B) This website is using a light gray with swirl desing as a background in all their 
pages. They also use green and brown as their two colors to emphasize with green
The company's name  and headings of sections are in green and they use  brown
for divider and for subheadings.

6)Definition of like: For me liking something in a website is determined on the  
choice of colors, pictures, animations and backgrounds they use and how 
structured and easy it is to find information about their topic on the website.
For A) I like the fact that all the topics are categorized and they are easy 
to see and access.
B) I like theri soft background with swirls. It is a soft background that does 
not distract me for the reading content. They also have structured their topics
in order, it's easy to access information on their website. I also like that 
they used three different colors for their three branches to emphasize the 
different locations. 

7)Definition of dislike: The same as the definiton of like. In A)I don't like the 
use of darkish gray as a background and the fact that there is white background 
on the homepage. B)I don't like the fact that they leave so much space in the main
body of the page and I have to scroll down to read the on the side the  headings 
for their topics.

8)A) I would add a background on the home page with a design of small guns or small 
status of liberty.  I would also substitue the darkish gray with light green 
color. 
B) I would get rid of the space they have in their home page and I would  put their 
topics on the left hand side under the picture. I would also use a better picture 
of their building like the entrance door versus their office window.

9)A) It is pretty easy to access all the information since everything is listed and 
accessible on the homepage. B) Listing of the topics about the company makes it  
very easy to access information.

10)It takes only a second to upload since I have cable modem and it is 927.3Kbps.
