Article I - Name

The name of this organization shall be the "Inland Empire Horse Show Association" here forth known as IEHSA
Article II - Purpose
The purpose of this Association shall be as follows:
(a) To suport  horse shows being held locally;
(b)  to further augment those associations already established and operating successfully;
(c) to establish a training ground for beginner and novice riders of all ages, as well as for green horses;
(d) to provide exhibitors with Judges who will not only judge, but who will indicate faults at the exhibitor's request
(e) to ensure that exhibitors receive awards that create enthusiasm, effort and a sense of accomplishment.
(f) to provide a training ground for aspiring  judges.
Article III - Membership
A.Any interested person is eligible for membership in the IEHSA. There is no residency requirement. The owners of horses competing for year-end awards must be members. An owner may be an individual or a business. If the owner is a business, the business must be a member. A trainer must be a member for his/her students to compete in medal classes. There are three types of members: Junior, Senior, and Professional. Horse show managers must be Senior or Professional members. All members must remain current in their payments with the IEHSA and its sanctioned show managers for fees related to the IEHSA. Members whose payments are past due are deemed to be members not in good standing.

B. HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT. IEHSA members agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless IEHSA, IEHSA members, and the members of the IEHSA  Board of Directors from any and all liability, claims, injury or damages sustained by the IEHSA member, the IEHSA member's horse, student, or entry, as a direct or indirect result of participation in, attendance at, or organization or setting up of any horse show, meeting, event, or other activity of whatever kind or nature in which IEHSA is associated.
CLASS SPECIFICATIONS
Points for Under Saddle Classes will be applied to the appropriate corresponding divisions
Points for Equitation on the flat clases will be applied to the apporpriate corresponding divisions

HUNTER DIVISION
OPEN HUNTER DIVISION - Fence height 2'3"or higher: Horses may cross enter into Short and Long Stirrup Hunters but not into and Cross rail divisions 

SHORT STIRRUP HUNTERS - Fence height 2'0" - 2'3" with NO oxers; Open to riders 12 & U. Rider may only cross enter into Pony Hunters , Open Hunters and all eligible flat classes.

LONG STIRRUP HUNTERS - Fence height 2'0" - 2'3"with No oxers.: Open to Junior riders 13-17 and Amateur 18 & O. Rider may only cross enter into Pony Hunters and Open Hunter divisions. This Division may be run as 2 classes or as one.

PONY HUNTERS - Fence height 2' -2'6". Open to ponies not to exceed 14.2 hands in height. Amateur/Professional riders may ride ponies in the pony's first year of competition for this division .No cross entry of same horse rider combination into Walk Trot Division.

CROSSRAIL HUNTERS TWICE ROUND - To jump fences 12"-18". Open to all junior and amateur riders. Riders may not cross enter into any division with fences 2' or higher Trotting not to be penalized.

CROSSRAIL HUNTERS COURSE -To jump fences 12"-18". Open to all junior and amateur riders. Riders may not cross enter into any division with fences 2'or higher exempt Pony Divisions

WALK/TROT DIVISION -Open to all junior and amateur riders. To be judged at the walk/trot. Riders may not cross-enter into any other divisions at same show. A hunter hack class over poles or cross rails may be added to the prize list if entries are restricted to walk trot only and restricted from cross entry into any other division with the exception of Cross rail 2X around so long as they trot the course.
JUMPER DIVISION
JR./AM. JUMPERS DIVISION 2' and up--Open to any classes held with fences 2' and higher, that are open to Junior/Amateur riders. Classes Held that are open to Professional riders as well will count for points but only for the Junior and Amateur Riders.  

AGE SPECIFICATION
Age will be specified as your age on DECEMBER 1 of the prior year. Please specify your age on the membership application.
POINTS
**** Cross Entry restrictions are lifted for the '07 and '08 seasons. Each show can allow cross entries as they see fit. If the sow allows cross entries all points will count.******

Championship Points

In order for additional points to be awarded for a show championship the following requirements must be met
1. The prize list must offer at least 2 over fences classes and an under saddle class
2. There must be at least 3 entries in the division

** Champions will be awarded 2.0 times the total 1st place point value of the first class in the division.
(Example:  A show with, 10 exhibitors, 10 points for 1st place value=20 points for Champion)
** Reserve Champions will be awarded 1.5 times the total 1st place value of the first class in the division.
(Example: A show with, 10 exhibitors, 10 points for 1st place value=15 points for Reserve Champion)
