Patrick Onwumere

My name is Patrick Onwumere and I am a junior, Electrical Engineering major here at the Prairie View A&M University. I have been a member of IEEE for over five years and I currently serve as the president for the Prairie View chapter for the 2005 - 2006 academic year.

IEEE is the world's leading profesisonal association for the advancement of technology and it is a great pleasure to be a part of this organization especially in the capacity in which I serve.

Over the past couple of weeks, as the president, I have seen tremendous growth due to the cohesive collaboration and hard work of the members of the executive board that we have in place. At this point in time, we are achieving heights that everyone; engineers and otherwise need to be part of. Every interested party is welcome and encouraged to stop by at the IEEE office to fill out a membership form. I promise that there will be no regrets.

There will also be access to information about the various types of workshops and seminars we hold every semester to help our members become more enlightened and tremendously better at what they do.

I want to thank my organization, my peers and my supporters for the opportunity given to me to take IEEE Prairie chapter to greater heights. I have every intention to validate their support. I look forward to a great year and I welcome you all to be a part of it.
