| Howdy people! Welcome to the online haven of IEEE SIT Student Branch. The IEEE SIT branch with 145 full-year student members is one among the most active student branches under the Bangalore Section of Region 10 and is also the winner of the "Best student branch" award of Bangalore section for the year 2005. The student branch is unique in the sense that it works towards creating awareness among students that “IEEE is not just technical but also fun”. IEEE SIT branch promises to continue doing what it does best – handling technical stuff creatively.

Robotics session : Robotics, being a field of great demand offers enormous opportunities. Members of the IEEE SIT student branch who are always working on reducing the gap between industry and students came up with an idea to provide all its member where all students can explore the fast exploding technologies in the field of Robotics. Only IEEE members are given to privilege to conduct the sessions under IEEE SIT. First session, "Cognition" was held on 18th and 19th of November 2006. Participants are eagerly waiting for the next session on advanced robotics that is going to be held in the month of March 2007.

LINUX club sessions: With the initiative of providing industrial exposure to its members, IEEE SIT branch has come up with an ideology of assigning projects in the fields of electronics and computer science to its members, and provide them with technical guidance from the industry professionals and the senior faculty of respective departments. This program is also accomplished by seminars about project management and testing
