The awesome band journal of doom.
April 11th, 2005 - sam - hello i guess i'll kick things off here.  this, for those of you who don't know, is a website.  in it's present form it sucks, but soon, soon it will conquer the world.  it has high aspirations.  like robots in all those science fiction series.  the ones that humans unwittingly give the will to learn.  and then they learn, and like it more than people do (go figure) and then they rise up and turn us into batteries or kill us or something.

so we'll do our darndest to keep it from getting too awesome, but it really can't be helped.
April 11th, 2005 - mike - my turn to kick. yes, its a double post day. its our first day with a website (albeit a very insignificant one, don't worry it will grow....we hope). don't worry, we'll probably post less and less as the novelty of a new site wears off. so we are probably going to play together tomorrow for the first time with the entire group. but we have music already so don't worry all your pretty little heads (for anyone who actually cares so far). perhaps i am getting too far ahead of myself. pardon my optimism. cheers all.
April 12th, 2005 -jon (avec mike et sam) - Alright so I guess this is my first entry so i'll try to make it a little bit intresting ... but i can't guarantee the rest will be as good... i am only the drummer so i can get away with it haha. Anyways so yea i guess we had our second practise although  it wasn't too long of a practise it was pretty descent. We tightened up some songs but I think we're just getting better at playing with each other ... but n e ways yea that was my exciting journal entry so woo hoo! ... right? lol.. we're trying to get this video on the website so keep on checking it .. ta ta.
April uhh 16th, 2005 -mike- Ok so its latish and I am tired so here it goes....Naked Vegetables...yay doxa. Haha, ok now hat thats out of my system.Lol, hats and shoelaces. Anyways, first full band practice today. Sounded sweet. Gonna try out one more verse for Nectarine (thats a song). Umm, we were suposed to write more lyrics for that other song tonight too but didnt happen, so we'll do it at timmies tomorrow after church I guess. Anna's busy though tomorrow so no practice then. But todays was unplanned so it was good since auditions are wednesday. Regatta is a sweet word. Ya I'm tired but its not entirely random cause our bassist is regatting tomorrow, so good luck to her. And even more luck to us trying to write a song in Tim Hortons that isnt about doughnuts or isnt already some old song we heard at a hockey game in some long forgotten or vaugely remembered time.
April 19, 2005, National Garlic Day - Anna. Hey, this is my first journal. My name is Anna-Marie. I play bass. Apparently. I think I was tricked into doing this. Oh well, roll with the punches right? Except no one punches me, don't worry. I just keep everyone else from punching each other. And Kevin out of the basement. So those are my jobs. Peacekeeping, gettingridofKevin, and playing bass.  I hope you all have a lovely day and eat your vegetables. Even if they are naked.
April 19, 2005 -mike- Ok, so audition tomorrow so we practicedtoday. Sam was sick though so he was off, but still good, and I was even more off for some reason. Not good, but Jon and Anna were right on so at least we'rehalf there. If Sam's feeling better and I get my act together we'll be fine. Oh, and Anna has said she wants to put some of her art on this site, so its gonna be way cool. Keep your eyes peeled for it. rad stuff. seriously. Oh and if you haven't seen we have away cool forum up. I seriously encourageyou all to use it. And apparently it will letus put music on it so we'll be experimenting with that and some other stuff soon hopefully, especially once I'm done my last exam. So cheers all, keep on rockin', keep your noses clean, and eat your garlic. Its good. It might even be a naked vegetabe but I'm not sure....I'll check and keep you posted.
April 27 - sam - so we haven't really added anything here for a while.  the site's being more or less constantly updated, as we have time.  we're not bored of it yet, so it'll keep getting better.  i also have some insider information for anybody interested who actually reads this.  apparently battle of the bands this year might feature more bands than other years, but some of the ones judged as "sketchier" by the judges (one of whom moonlights as an english teacher, so i'm not sure how he gets away with using "sketchy") will play shorter sets.  good news is we "don't have to worry" so i'm hoping that means a full three-song set for us.  also hoping for a practice soon, now that the throat's more or less back in one piece.  hope to see a lot of people there.
