LETTER OF CREDİT

Letter of credit are documents used in international trade. They work like this. The buyer asks his bank to open a credit in the seller’s favour. A credit is a sum of money on the books of a bank. Being in the seller’s favour means it belongs to the seller than a bank in the seller’s country is contacted.ıt ıssues a letter of credıt and sends it to the seller. The letter of credıt list document which he must give to his bank before they’ll pay him. Usually these document show that the goods are on the way to the buyer. They might be invoice insurance policy and bill of lading. So the goods would have to be named insured and on board ship before the seller could receive payment.
