IditarodUPDATE

The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race began 33 years ago and is now known as "The Last Great Race." This amazing event pits man and his best friend against raw nature for approximately 1,070 miles. Because the trail covers such a great distance through uninhabitated lands, amateur radio plays a large roll in race communications. It is for this reason that I will be spending 2 weeks on the trail as a Communications Volunteer for the Iditarod Trail.

This website is dedicated to the life and adventures of the Iditarod Trail. Posted here will be a daily journal describing the trail experience, photos from the trail and links to other related web sites.

While this site is still under construction, feel free to look at some of the other related sites. You will find a list of sites that will be helpful in your search for information on the historic Iditarod Trail.
