William IV Crowned King At Last BRITAIN - Son of William III and Sophia, William IV was crowned today. The admiral, christened such in 1811, took the throne after the death of his dearly beloved brother, George IV. William IV had been declared Duke of Clarence before taking his title as King of England. Though the people of England think his behaviour quite odd indeed, they welcome his rule with ready arms. The King is now a popular celebrity around England. Peasants country-wide say they saw the new King racing through town in his carriage and offering them lifts to market. We of England can hardly wait His Majesty to start his true rule. -Michael Dawson, Press
