Sensory Garden

IDEA members and staff have recently designated an area in the Community Garden as a Sensory Garden.The garden has something for each of the five senses and has been very popular with our members and visitors to the garden.

We planted highly scented flowers like lavender and roses alongside herbs such as rosemary, mint and fennel, and vegetables including tomatoes, courgettes and ornamental cabbages. We also places windchimes and windcatchers in the trees and created a water feature.

We recently won prizes for our vegetables and flowers in the Islay and Jura Garden Show competition!
