Holiday in Ayr

Every year the members and staff of IDEA head off for a weeks holiday together. This year we travelled to Ayrshire, staying in the Glenpark Hotel in the bustling town of Ayr. We got to do lots of things we can't do at home on Islay like shopping, going to cafes and going to the cinema.

We also got the chance to go to Ayr Racecourse and had a great time watching the races and putting on small bets. A new experience for everyone! We then visited Robert Burns Cottage in Alloway, Vikingar museum in Largs and even took a day trip to Millport where we saw an eight-seater bicycle!

Many of our Members rely on the IDEAs annual holiday as their only break away from Islay. We all thoroughly enjoyed our trip away and are looking forward to next years holiday already!.
