IDEAs Resource Centre
We have a bank of computers on which our
members can learn various computer skills like designing greeting cards, digital photography and access to the Internet.
We often run our own training courses such
as assertiveness training and computer skills and can assist with numerical and reading skills if required.
We also have a large variety of materials for our Members to experiment and express themselves with.
This includes art materials, crafts projects and various needlework activities. The end
products are sold by our Members at our regular fund raising events.
Members can work on any activity they choose either independently,
with a friend or in groups. We are very flexible and we try to accommodate
any activities our Members suggest.
We try to be actively involved in the community and use community facilities where possible.
As well organising facilities at the Centre such as the library van, the credit union and visiting therapists, we are always out and about locally at the swimming pool, going shopping or using local amenities.
