Ethan Dupreii
Ethan Dupreii was born somewhere in the Midwest of the United States of America. Dupreii comes from generations of farmers, he�s a decent shot with rifles and shotguns, but isn�t so hot when it comes to pistols. Ethan�s family lost their farm after the Stock Market Crash of 1929, which prompted his leaving the family farm and eventually settling in Mile High City where he took on a job as a custodian at the Brummel University of Technology and Innovation, giving him the chance to meet and befriend the eccentric Doctor E.M. Happenstance. Physically, Ethan is a little over six feet in height, around 6�1� 6�2�, he has reddish-brown hair and green eyes. Ethan is in good shape and could be described as handsome.Rose Sheffield
The lovely Rose Sheffield was born to wealth and privilege and because of that, hasn�t really had to go without eating for long periods of time. Rose is educated and well traveled, she also is a cunning linguist who seems to have a natural talent for picking up foreign languages. Rose was married right out of university to Robert Sheffield, eldest son of the Boston Sheffields, who owned and operated a successful import/export business. Unfortunately, a mere six months after their marriage, Robert was lost at sea. Rose was traveling in Europe when her brother, James Lanahan, wired for her to return home to watch his house as he had to leave Cleveland unexpectedly. While she was en-route to Cleveland via Mile High City, Rose met Ethan Dupreii and became embroiled in his business when she discovered her brother�s connection to the mysterious package. Rose is stylish and always in fashion, where ever it may be that she is currently. Rose is 5�11�, slim and in shape, with dark hair and blue eyes.James Lanahan
James Lanahan was born to wealth and privilege and is the older brother of Rose Sheffield. James Lanahan had been a promising student and practically worshipped the ground that Dr. Happenstance walked on, until something happened between the two of them and Dr. Happenstance gave him a failing grade in one of his classes. Lanahan dropped out of the university and floated around doing odd jobs for a time. When the Volstaad Act was passed, Lanahan was pressed into service as a driver bringing illegal alcohol into Cleveland for the mob. Eventually, Lanahan was able to quit smuggling, though it�s rumored that he still maintained the mob ties, and got a job working as an electrician. Two weeks before Happenstance�s office was broken into, Lanahan received a package from Happenstance and he called his sister back to Cleveland while he left for San Francisco unexpectedly. James Lanahan is about 5�9� tall and of average build, he constantly looks tired and tends to be unshaven and disheveled in appearance.Dr. E.M. Happenstance
Doctor Everett Myles Happenstance was born in England in the previous century. He is a scientist of prodigious knowledge and learning, many also believe that he is quite mad and that it�s reflected in his theories. Dr E.M. Happenstance has been working the past fifteen years at the Brummel University of Technology and Innovation as a physics professor, though his greatest talents lie in other fields. It�s though that Dr. Happenstance designed a doomsday device and that the Turks are after that to use against the governments of Earth. Doctor Happenstance stands around 5�6� tall, is moderately portly, and enjoys fine food and cheap liquor. Happenstance has white hair and dark eyes, he also has a goatee. Happenstance�s hairline is receding, though what�s left tends to be rather unkempt. Happenstance is driven to discover and design the latest technological marvel.Ludwig
All that is known about the mysterious and enigmatic Ludwig is that he is a spy with no national loyalties, he will literally work for the highest bidder. It�s believed that Ludwig has ties to Bavaria, though he might not be native to that region. Ludwig is believed to be hired by Turks who wish to see the reformation of the Ottoman Empire, which may be the reason that they are after the package that Dr. Happenstance sent to Ethan Dupreii. No one knows what Ludwig looks like, they say that he�s nearly 7� tall and extremely muscular with sandy colored hair and eyes the color of steel.The Men in Taupe
No one knows anything about the impossibly square-jawed Men in Taupe. They claim to be FBI agents if interrogated or it suits their purposes. All that is known about the Men in Taupe is that they are after the package in Ethan Dupreii�s possession. The Men in Taupe tend to be square-jawed, moderately tall, and blonde haired and blue eyed. The Men in Taupe are in good physical condition.Muurg
This neanderthal is originally from a tribe of neanderthals that lives north of the arctic circle. The warriors of Muurg's tribe became cannibals at the urging of one of Muurg's rivals, they then travelled to the south in the hopes of begining a war against humanity. Muurg tracked them down and in the Sierra Nevadas surrounding Truckee, California aided Ethan Dupreii and William DeLane in killing the rogue cavemen.Chance Dasher
Chance Dasher was born and raised in San Francisco, for as long as he can remember he had always wanted to be a police officer, part of that might have been because his father and his father's father were law enforcement officers as well. Dasher moved quickly through the ranks of the SFPD thanks to his sense of heroism and handsome appearance. When the SFPD formed the RocketCops, Dasher saw it as his chance to be beloved by millions and he enjoys his celebrity status among the citizenry of San Francisco very much, almost more then he does having the chance to right wrongs and put criminals behind bars.Jean Pierre Saint-Sault
The eldest child and only son of Henri Thomas Saint-Sault, crown prince of the Principality of Amarante, he was the obvious choice as heir when his father died. Saint-Sault the younger attended university at Harvard where he met and became friends with John Sheffield, Sheffield's friend James Lanahan and later, Lanahan's younger sister Rose. Saint-Sault studied Biology and Medicine while attending Harvard, but was forced to return to Amarante before he could graduate when his father, Henri Thomas passed away unexpectedly. Saint-Sault's been working in Amarante trying to turn the tiny principality into a scientific Garden of Eden, it's been slow going trying to change the mentality of a primarily rural population.Professor Edward Thickpenny Ph.D.
Professor Thickpenny is of medium height and build wit thick graying hair on his head, he's in his fifties and is an avid smoker of pipes. Thickpenny is San Francisco's premier expert on China, having visited that nation several times throughout his life, he was even involved in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900, though he hasn't told anyone exactly what his role in that affair was, but he has written several books on the mystic Chinese martial arts that were able to drive the western forces from mainland China. Thickpenny currently works as a professor at San Francisco State Teachers' College.Le Mangouste
Le Mangouste is an engimatic individual, some are convinced that he and Saint-Sault are one in the same, though that's not been confirmed as of yet, despite his obvious ties to the Principality of Amarante. Le Mangouste is seeking Doctor Happenstance's notebook and it is he that the Men in Taupe are working for in their pursuit of Ethan Dupreii and Rose Sheffield. At this time, Le Mangouste has both Sheffield and the notebook in her possession, though Dupreii, Dasher, and Huang Chung are in hot pursuit of the megalomaniac.Huang Chung
A young Chinese national, Huang Chung came to America with his bride in the late 1920s in an effort to make his fortune. However, anti-Chinese sentiments and the Stock Market Crash of 1929 has dashed those dreams. Starving, Huang Chung became a member of The Yellow Gong Society, a secret Chinese "Club" that was to help other Chinese people battle persecution and to protect them from the unscrupulous. The Yellow Gong Society dates back to Ancient China and its members were expelled from China soon after the Nationalists used the secret societies to drive out the Qing Dynasty as part of their campaign to drive out foreign powers ruling China.
