..more facts..

..maybe a little more to grab on..

..i come from a little village in norrbotten, sweden, called Korpilombolo..

..there i lived and prospered until the fall of 2002, when i moved to umeå

to study earth science in physical geography.. i didn't move because i did

not prosper, but because i figured something had to become of me too,

and why not an earth scientist in physical geography?.. so now i have

a little less than two semesters left, plus a little summercourse, before i

     hopefully get my exam..

..earth scientist in physical geography?.. what is that?.. a whole different

story.. but to make it short, i've borrowed some info from AAG

(Association of American Geographers), where this can be read:

Geography has a strong link to the natural sciences through physical geography and earth

science. Courses that may be offered in these fields include climatology, meteorology,

oceanography, geomorphology (landforms), soils, biogeography (distribution and ecology of

plants), zoogeography (distribution and ecology of animals), and natural resources. Courses

in physical geography are important because they deal with earth processes that concern

the human use of the earth. /.../ Those with a good background in physical geography are

well prepared to deal with problems of air pollution, water pollution, and the management

and disposal of solid, toxic, and hazardous wastes. Physical geographers also study the

impact of such natural hazards as hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, and

        earthquakes.                                                                                          ..AAG homepage..

..and i guess you could say that that summary corresponds well with what

i'm gonna be all about when i enter the labour market.. hmm.. OK, maybe

it wasn't so short.. the story about what an earth scientist in physical

geography is.. but beleive me, i could make it a lot longer..

                                                                        ..a little less more facts..
