| Idaho Gunworks offers a truly unique service: CUSTOM PYROGRAPHY for your gunstocks and wooden ammunition boxes! "Pyrography" is also known as "Wood-burning". Each piece is made by burning darker and lighter sections into wood to form a design or picture. The burn is made using a tool that reaches 950 degrees... We offer your choice of name, photo, or wildlife scene burned, by hand, into the wooden stock of your rifle or shotgun, or into a sturdy wooden ammunition box and then finished with an attractive sealant. You may choose from one of our designs, or bring in your own photo... Imagine... A picture of your trophy buck or bull burned onto the stock of your favorite rifle! How about your favorite hunting dog, or a cabin scene? Even better, we do the work right here in shop, so your gun does not have to be shipped out! Prices will vary, depending upon the intricacy and size of the work desired; minimum order of $25.00. *A very detailed piece could run up to $250.00. All work is done by Idaho Gunwork's "Mrs." & webmaster, Jacque.. <grin> Due to the time each piece takes, we are offering personalized custom stock work done only on a limited basis. I will not rush a job like this, so if you want a piece done right, please do not drop by and request it be finished "this week"! | Each piece is unique and made according to the individual's requests. Final color of finished product depends upon the color, grain of the wood and stain used. Woodburning will give a rustic look, but for those interested, pictures and designs can also have oil colors added before staining, adding a vibrant, "painted" appearance to the final product.
