First of all, I just wanted you all to know we have a new (user friendly) website up and running. There are many, many things I would like to add and will be doing so as time permits. If anyone has any ideas/input, I am completely open to them. You will notice a "Player of the week". I picked this weeks' since it is new but in the future, I will be obtaining info. from coaches to determine who our player of the week will be. There are plenty of weeks in our season so hopefully every player will get their week to shine.
Secondly, just to forwarn you (and pass this along to your players), I will be, once again, chasing them around to get their mug shots and will put them on our website and make programs for our home games. I will not post last names under pics on the website or any other personal information such as home town, but if you do not want your child on the website, please let me know (via e-mail) within the next week or so.
Also, be watching the Press-Citizen and CR Gazette for team stats after a game. With the help of Brian Bailey, I will be submitting our stats to the local newspapers after every game. (I did submit the bantam game from this weekend).
Lastly, and most importantly, Roughrider fundraising information. We will be doing the 50/50 raffle for 6 games. This involves us working the 50/50 table at a RR's game. We will need at least 2 adult and would love to have 2 players helping as well (sporting your IC Blizzard apparel of course). You will man the table by selling raffle tickets for the money drawing. As you know, 1/2 of the money goes to a lucky winner and the other 1/2 goes to our association. We have split the responsibility between the 3 travel teams. Here are the dates and which team is responsible for each:

Also, PLEASE turn in your RR ticket money or leftover tickets to me by Monday night (Nov 12). I MUST have them asap. Great job to everyone on the ticket sales. This is the BEST we've done yet! I'm not sure on the numbers since not everyone has turned theirs in yet, but I'm estimating we made almost $1000 on this! We made over $600 on the exhibition game earlier this year also! I know it's a lot of work but all of your efforts are paying off!
ONE LAST IMPORTANT NOTE: I know on your hockey forms, you all filled out phone numbers. I would like to keep a master list of everyone's home and all cell phone numbers in the case of an emergency or game or practice cancellation or change. I will only use cell numbers in situations where I urgently need to make contact with you. Last year, we had a cancellation involving a game in Dubuque and this master list would have been GREAT! I would like each teams team manager to have this master list. Please e-mail me back with every one of your family's contact numbers. Number them with #1 being the one you would like us to try first...and so on. Thank you for doing this!
