lock the door and throw away the key
thats what i felt like
like its an eternity
we've had some good times
but dont get me wrong
there have been some bad too
i dont know how i did it
i was only a little girl
but some how i was the richest
id put that smile on my face and say please
and your toughness would rub away
your eyes would grow soft
and you would smile
i didnt understand the full meaning of it then
but i do now
you care for me
and you care about what i have to say
and you did at that time also
we've had our share of fights though
you might not be
right here beside me
but you try to lead me in the right direction
