Major Spoilers
It all started when Wily's plans failed. His attempts at the King project failed and so did the Calvary Bass, earlier. Wily's final plan is named Zero. His blueprints still roamed. Meanwhile after Zero was made, a mysterious earthquake or something hit the Light Labs. Many years later a mysterious Dr. Cain finds under rubble, a capsule which actually contains a later prototype model of Mega Man. His new name is X. Cain starts a new breed of robots named Reploids. Reploids have the ability to think and feel emotions with free will. This posed a threat. Later Zero was discovered in a cave. Army units were made of the Reploids. The commander's name was Sigma, after the Greek letter. Zero was going haywire and units were ordered to dispose of him. Sigma had a one one fight with Zero and barely defeated him. Sigma was infected with Zero's virus and in critical condition. It was until after that Sigma felt results. The infected Reploids were named Mavericks. Sigma spread the virus and formed a rebellion for the rise of Reploids.
