Chapter 5
�Oh no it�s him again��
Minyoung got the familiar scent and the cold stare again as she started to walk the other direction.
�Good thing he didn�t see me this time, although he wouldn�t have recognized me��
�Excuse me miss?� Minyoung frozed at the spot as she heard the voice that scared her the night before�
She ran without even thinking about what he had to say to her� she was way too scared to find out.
�Ouch, watch where you are g� oh no.� Minyoung said as the unpleasant face stood in front of her again.
�Well, what have we here, the tough girl running away from something? This I got to see.� Taehyung said as to make fun of her and still trying to get up from the punch she had given him.
That�s when he saw Hwanhee walking up to where they stand.
�Yo, Yoonsuk what�s up?� Taehyung said casually as possible while still holding onto his stomach.
�Yoonsuk, is that guy!!! Uh oh what to do.� Minyoung didn�t even have enough time to think, she ran away as fast as she could for her life.
Taehyung looked at her and then Hwanhee weird and suddenly had a smirk on his face.
�Who was that Taehyung you know that girl?� Yoonsuk asked in an eerie tone.
�Well that is my umm� girlfriend� uhh she had to go to a� meeting! She was late.� Taehyung said trying to sound very casual about the incident. And then he caught a strong vibration in Hwanhee�s eyes when he said that �Well well Yoonsuk the most popular guy in school paying attention to outside girls��
Not catching Taehyung giggling Yoonsuk said, �well, she dropped this I was going to give it back to her she didn�t have to run away like that.� �This is the first time ever in my life a girl ran away from me� girlfriend? But she seemed so familiar to my eyes� I thought for sure even though I only saw her back� I could have swore it was her��
�Well, I can� give it back to her myself!� �ahahaha what a great way to get her back� but why would she run away�� then again Taehyung had a smirk on his thinking of how to get her back. Hwanhee hesitated but gave it to him anyways.
�Well, Yoonsuk why don�t we start heading to luncheon we might be late you know.�
They walked to the caf� where they had the luncheon it was near 2pm�
Minyoung stood confused she has been walking for hours to a place she didn�t even recognize,
�Why am I so scared of him� I� I don�t even know him� yet he seem so familiar� those stares� Yoonsuk what are you�ahhhhh don�t go crazy now girl.�
Minyoung came to a stop when she saw a mailbox� �Oh no I haven�t mailed any of my friends in America since I came here, Why am I so stupid, Grace and Kristine must be worried sick� well that is if they still remember me that is, I will give them a call when I get home.�
�GET HOME!!! Oh no, what time is it?! 9pm!! Uh oh, oppa is going to kill me now, must get home.�
But when Minyoung turned to go home, she did not recognize the place at all�
�Ok, now what have I got myself into.�
It was cold and scary night with almost no one walking by the hour. Minyoung started to back track where she was walking from. She wanted to go home, get away from the freaky memory of �him�
�Oh yeah I had a phonecard with my oppa�s number, I can call him stupid me.�
Of course when she looked in her pocket, the card was gone�
�Oh great maybe with any luck that fast food place know where I live.�
She felt eyes following her so she hurried and ran into the restaurant.
Minyoung walked in and met a familiar pair of eyes�
�Those sad eyes� deep beautiful eyes� Kim Dongwan� the guy who told me the way home the other day� why are you here� with that sad face� again.�
Unlike the cold stare of Yoonsuk, he had a warming stare that made Minyoung feel as if she was home� like her Daesuk oppa� such a familiar stare.
Dongwan was totally drunk, saddened by some reason.
Then Minyoung heard the owner whispering to a customer
�He comes everyday getting, drunk he seem to have very sad story behind him.�
Minyoung felt bad looking at the pretty eyes looking sad.
She took a seat next to him and slightly smiled when he looked at her.
It was just a little moment but she caught his eyes trembling with fear or surprise of some sort.
�Hi young girl? Are you lost?�
His warm words caught Minyoung off guard, she knew that he looked at her different then the other day. �Is that what he says to all strangers?�
�Um, yeah� but why do you look so sad?�
Dongwan chuckled and stared down at the cup about to shed the tears from the beautiful eyes of his�
�Well, I know this probably have nothing to do with you, but you resemble someone, someone that used to be the most important thing in my life. You know the funny thing? I just realize that, after so long, I just realized that couple of months ago. Why am I so stupid?�
Dongwan finally started crying as if his heart was ripped in pieces.
Minyoung looked as if she was confused but she didn�t wanted to see the beautiful eyes sheding tears� somehow it broke her heart as well�
�Dongwan is this where you live?� Minyoung came as far as she could to the place he pointed out.
Minyoung carried him back to where she saw him first� when he first asked if she was lost�
Dongwan was totally knocked out and Minyoung saw someone running up to them.
�Excuse me miss but what are you doing with Dongwan?�
This guy had a voice that left the chills in her spine. It was cold yet friendly voice a firm voice from school. �He is the guy that said something to me at school, member of Shinhwa?�
�Uhh� I found him drunk so I brought him home?�
The guy looked as if in disbelief but in any case he thanked her and took him away.
Minyoung was confused, when she let go, she felt another pain stabbing her heart� �I will never let go�� �What? What just flashed in my mind must be going crazy must get home.�
Just when she was about to walk away, the guy asks,
�Do you want a ride home? Its dark and dangerous out here.�
�Thanks but no thanks, I can take care of myself.� Minyoung always had sense that she can take out anyone, and any danger so she just avoided the offer.
�Yes, I am sure you can but this is for bringing Dongwan home, and need I say no one has ever rejected my offer? Well I don�t want to be heart broken, and we don�t need another heart broken member in Shinhwa you know.� He said as he had a playful smile on his face.
Minyoung couldn�t say no to that she had to take the offer but she did not feel too happy about leaving� for some reason. Somehow she felt some deep connection that she could not quite figure out.
�Um, so where do you live? So I can drop you off?� The guy said as he waved his hands in front of Minyoung�s face.
�Oh� um� hold on.� �Ok, back to the reality girl I can�t tell him where I live because well he might know Daesuk oppa aigo what to do.�
�You have to think about where you live?� the guy laughed out loud as if she was joking.
�haha, yeah um, you can drop me off here I will walk from here.� Minyoung said as they were at the end of the street where she lives.
He looked at her weird and said, �You know I don�t stalk people�� he looked as if he was hurt.
�Man this guy is way too na�ve well I still can�t tell him.� She thought as she said, �No, it�s not that haha I just wanted to walk for a little bit, it�s very close from here and I need a little exercise anyways.�
Minyoung made an excuse and walked off thanking him for his ride.
�Oh, and I still don�t know his name, how sad.�
Minyoung walked the way but her head was filled with those eyes shedding tears.
Somehow her eyes got watery just thinking about them�
�Oh God, she is never this late why isn�t she giving me a call or anything! Doesn�t she know how much I am worried?!� Daesuk was screaming his head off at home waiting for his sister.
�Calm down hyung she will be here soon, don�t worry it will only make you get wrinkles.� Jonghyuk tried to calm him down with a little humor but it wasn�t working at all.
Jonghyuk was there since the luncheon because Daesuk was so worried. He stayed to keep him alive.
�You just wait Minyoung, when you get home you are a dead meat.� Daesuk whispered.
�What?� Jonghyuk had good ears and was able to catch the familiar name.
Daesuk looked up in surprise but didn�t say anything.
�Oppa I am home.� Minyoung sheepishly said as she walked in the door.
�YOU GIRL MADE ME WORRIED FOR HOURS AND HOURS DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS?!?� Daesuk was furious at his sister and Jonghyuk tried to calm him down.
�Oh, hi Jonghyuk I didn�t notice you sorry�� Minyoung said as she went right into her room.
That�s when Deasuk finally realized there was something different about his sister�
�Uh, Jonghyuk? Thanks for staying with me and I think you should go home now it�s really late��
�Ok, hyung I guess she had problems? Well see you at school tomorrow.�
�Problems? Oh no not yet� she coudln�t have�� Daesuk thought as he started walking into his sister�s room�
Chapter 6
*knock *knock
�Minyoung are you in there? Can I come in?�
Daesuk was by now worried and sad... �I don�t want to lose you��
He walked in to see his sister facing the other way, it seemed as if she was sleeping.
He shrugged and tried to walk out when Minyoung stops him.
�Oppa, could you give me the phone I have to call my friends.� She tried to talk casually knowing that Daesuk must have been really worried.
�Oh� ok um is there anything else you want to tell me?� Daesuk asked in uneasy voice trying to sound casual.
Suddenly Minyoung shot up and embraced her skinny brother and said,
�Sorry I made you worried, am I lucky to have a brother like you or what. I came in the door knowing that will make my punishment less.� She squeezed him on purpose as she laughed trying to forget the events that happened that day.
Daesuk laughed, he knew she was lying but he played along.
�You are not getting away with this that easily.�
Ring*Ring*
�Hello?�
�Kristine? Hi it�s me Minyoung your friend remember?�
�Who? Oh girl how could you not call me or send me anything when you were��
The conversation went on and by the time they hung up, Minyoung had a big smile on her face as if she forgot what happened�
�Oppa lets go to school, we are late!� Minyoung woke up and called for her brother.
�Oh, no he left me again� err just wait till I get my hands on him��
Minyoung jumped up and looked in the mirror with her hat on.
And started walking to school expecting a bright day.
Minyoung walked in the hallway to find bunch of girls again, this time she didn�t even bother arguing and just walked in the flowery road. Still happy from the conversation she had the night before with her friends.
Suddenly there were girls screaming she looked up to see them walking through, among them there was Dongwan, Yoonsuk, and the guy that gave her a ride home�
Yoonsuk eyed her weird again and she quickly walked off to her class, she couldn�t be late on her second day of the school.
�Minyoung! How was your Sunday?�
Jonghyuk asked in a happy cheery voice. Minyoung just smiled knowing that he was always so cheery and happy. �Man, where does this guy get his hyperness, doesn�t he ever get tired of the world?�
�Oh, it was ok I guess� How about you!� Minyoung did not wanted to go back to Sunday ever again� yet she did miss it some how�
�Well, me and few of my friends had luncheon it was great and� oh yeah I met a girl name Minkyung hahaha she is a lot like you isn�t that funny? She could be your twin only if you were a girl.� He laughed it off as the class began.
Minyoung suddenly remembered telling him her name was Minkyung and laughed as well. On the side, Regina was glaring at her�
With the sound of the lunch bell Minyoung walked out with Jonghyuk to go to the cafeteria. And there it was all the familiar sites from Saturday�
�More flowers and gifts, where do you guys keep these stuff?� Minyoung by now realized the life of the singers�
�Well, I put it in my room and decorate some but these days I am overflowing, do you want one?� Minyoung looked at him weird and just shook her head.
�Well, well look who got here first again�� 6guys walked in and sat on the table as the girls started to chat and awwwwed and oOOooed at them.
Taehyung had a great big smile on his face as he started to tell them a story.
�You know guys, something really amusing happened to me on Sunday, Minyoung,
not you by the way I am talking about the girl, bumped into me and I think I found out something that is really funny.�
Minyoung listened to him and got red and furious yet she didn�t let anyone know.
�Well she was running away from something you see and that was Yoonsuk the
popular guy in the school. I think she has crush on him oh yeah can you believe it? The mighty tomboy has a crush! And also she dropped her phone card, he was about to give it back to her and there she goes running away hahaha. So I kept it, I will get her back haha and also I thought he noticed her as well.
The popular guy looking at a tomboy how sad, since I didn�t want him to waste his time I told him she was my girlfriend although that won�t happen ever I am too good for her, over my dead body.�
Taehyung was laughing as he said that.
�YOU WHAT?!� Minyoung quickly covered her mouth and recovered her sentence.
�That was very uh clever way of you getting her back, so what are you going to do?�
Taehyung looked at her weird at first but hearing her said,
�You are my kind of a guy, ok this is my plan� hahaha isn�t that cool?�
Rest of the members eyed him weird as they thought it was the stupidest plan they have ever heard.
Jonghyuk spoke out as he said, �Maybe you should just be nice to her, that is really mean of you.�
Taehyung shrugged him off with calling him a justice guy who doesn�t ever have fun.
Minyoung sat and smirked, �So being a guy isn�t so bad at this kind of moment. You just wait��
The screams got louder as Shinhwa and Fly To The Sky came in the view.
Minyoung�s attention was also on them.
�You know I am going to go talk to Yoonsuk, you know to carry out the plan? Hahaha.�
Taehyung said as he walked to their table.
Minyoung just stared at them then she suddenly felt the coldness as Yoonsuk stared at her again with those cold eyes.
Yoonsuk was forced to look away as Taehyung waved for attention and they were planning to meet sometime somewhere.
Minyoung also saw the guy that drove her home the other night.
�Hey Jonghyuk who is that guy?�
�Oh, he is Lee Minwoo from Shinhwa.� Jonghyuk slightly smiled as he answered her question.
The long and dreadful lunch was over and they were back to class.
Minyoung saw a very amusing sight in front of the classroom which made her chuckle.
It was Regina all blushing in front of some guy giving him a present of some sort.
�hahaha who would have thought I would see this, so that girl does have crush on someone� lets butt in and see who it is.�
When Minyoung went forward she suddenly stopped� it was him the cold stare. He had a cold stare looking at Regina as well, but a different cold stare� the one with no compassion, not at all caring of her feelings�
He was about to look up and Minyoung hurried and went in the classroom not realizing that he�s eyes caught her going in the classroom�
Somehow Minyoung felt sorry for Regina�
The class ended and Minyoung went outside trying to find the secret way out that Jonghyuk told her about.
Then she saw Dongwan and Minwoo standing talking to each other.
Dongwan looked really happy today and that made Minyoung smile a bit as well.
�Minwoo, guess what? I had a dream about my sister! Can you believe it? She never even came in my dreams before now I am a bit happy� maybe I will be able to have another chance.�
�Your sister? Haha do you remember what happened yesterday at all? Well let me tell you��
They walked away talking about the event on Sunday.
�What were they talking about? Anyways I better get going before��
She looked up; there he was again with his cold stare as always looking right through her.
�Take the hat off will you? Is there something that people can�t see in there, you steal or something?�
The question threw her off, as she was about to say something�
�Yoonsuk, leave him alone he is new here, he is my friend. And don�t worry he don�t steal.� Jonghyuk ran up to them smiling and took his friend and left.
�Don�t get me wrong Minyoung but Yoonsuk has been that way for a quite a while since he lost someone that was very important to him. So don�t think he is mean or anything he is actually a nice guy� Jonghyuk explained it to her in a simple way.
Minyoung shrugged it off and said it was no big deal but inside she was still a bit afraid.
�Oppa I am going to get some groceries ok? Be back soon.� Minyoung said as she was heading out the door.
�Dongseng wait!!!!! Before you go anywhere you have to tell me what you were talking about with your friends.� That was more of a demanding tone in Daesuk�s voice.
�Oh� they said they were fine and that they have a little surprise that was about it.�
With that said, Minyoung quickly walked out the door.
�So, here is the spot for the brilliant plan, well I will show him.�
�Hey Minyoung how are you today!� Taehyung said as if he was her friend.
�Well, well if it isn�t show off I wonder what that person is doing in front of the grocery store.� Minyoung said in an annoyed tone as always.
�Hey, relax, I apologize see, I will buy you something come on let�s go inside.�
Just as Taehyung turned around, Minyoung saw her phone card sticking out of his back pocket, also a banana placed in front of the door that she was suppose to step on.
That�s when she saw Yoonsuk waiting for Taehyung inside the store�
�Oh, darn, I can�t carry out my plan now, Oh well I guess I will just have to use violence again.�
BAM a loud noise was heard when Taehyung fell flat on his face. Minyoung had kicked him from behind she quickly took the phone card.
�Well, well show off, you had my phone card all along huh? I knew you had some kind of plan, and what�s with the banana that everyone can see. You think I am blind?�
Minyoung gave a good laugh and left quickly as possible without Yoonsuk noticing�
Chapter 7
�How in the world did Minyoung know that I had a plan� there is something fishy going on around here� There must be a spy or something this isn�t happening to me��
Taehyung was in a world of thoughts when someone called out for him.
�Oh my God Oppa are you ok?� it was Euny, the girl he had played on at the other school. The girl Minyoung helped by beating him up.
�You� didn�t see that right?
If anyone asks, that did not happen! Understand!�
Taehyung said harshly at her knowing that she still liked him after all that�
�Oppa that�s ok I really didn�t see anything,
I just saw you on the ground��
Euny was about to cry at the sight of him yet she also knew that he didn�t care for her.
�Hmm, if this girl still likes me�� Taehyung chuckled as he thought of something.
�I am sorry, what was your name again? Oh yes Euny, of course I remember you sweet girl. I am so sorry for what I did to you and sorry for the fact that I am a little harsh today, just had a bit of accident. But since you are here you can make it better��
Taehyung told her a story which brightened Euny�s
smile at the same time made her very angry�
�Bye now and remember what I told you.� Taehyung waved at her with a evil smile on his face as Euny left happily at the thought that he still had a feeling for her�
�I would do anything for you Taehyung��
�Taehyung what�s with all the waiting you made me do� I
had to stay in there with that annoying girl that follows me around the school.�
Yoonsuk came out and pointed at a girl that was in the store.
�Sorry man, something came up but that�s ok� lets just take a walk shall we��
With that the two guys disappeared�
�Oppa I am home� oops� �I forgot to get groceries�� Minyoung was deep in thought when suddenly the door opended and 4 familiar faces came in her view.
Minyoung�s eyes suddenly became really big and she had a big smile spread on her face.
�SURPRISE! Dongseng isn�t the best surprise or what!� Daesuk said with a warm smile on his face.
�Kristine� Grace� Amy� you guys are here�� Minyoung went speechless as her best friends stood in the doorway of her brother�s house.
With that, Minyoung totally forgot about the event that happened that day or any other day. It was the happiest moment for her for a long time.
�Minyoung guess what? We will be staying here for about 3monthes even more if it�s possible. And we get to go to your brother�s school!� Kristine said happily to her friend.
But that just made Minyoung�s eyes wide in shock. She looked at her brother and he gave her a look that he didn�t say anything.
�So Minyoung, do you still go to the foreign school?� Amy asked happily.
�Uhh� yes I do!� Minyoung answered awkwardly and frowned her face thinking that she just lied to her best friends.
�Aw, that�s too bad Minyoung we get to see all the fine guys at the star school! Aren�t you going to introduce them to us oppa.� Grace asked in a sweet voice which made everyone chock their food. Daesuk just gave her a bit of forced out smile after seeing his sister�s face.
�So� are you guys staying at our house?� Minyoung asked in a quite worried tone.
�No, don�t you wish we did though? Heehee We are staying at a hotel provided by our sponsers.� With that Minyoung sighed of relief.
�Well, I will see you guys tomorrow, I will show you guys around.�
With that said Minyoung closed the door�
�Dongseng you lied� to your best friends. What is going on?� Daesuk said in a worried tone. She has never lied in front of them in her entire life yet she just did in front of him.
�Oppa, you know I had to please forgive me. I can�t be the same Minyoung because� well you know that I am a guy in the school!� With that Minyoung went to sleep.
Daesuk was still worried about his sister and the fact that she is acting a bit strange lately.
�Oh finally I am early for school today. Oppa is going with me this time.�
But when Minyoung went to his room, she found out that he had left already. Minyoung was a bit suspicious now� �Why would oppa leave so fast��
Minyoung entered to school only to see her friends walking getting all the attention. Obviously they were not aware of the school uniform policy.
�Hey you guys why are they all dressed alike?� Kristine asked weirdly at her friends just to get the answer �We don�t know but it�s weird.�
They also walked into the flower way made for Shinhwa and Fly To The Sky.
�Halt, you freaks.� Regina was as rude as ever. Yet Minyoung was standing could not do anything. She knew that if she went up and said one word, they would find out it�s her.
When Regina was about to tell them off, Shinhwa and Fly To The Sky showed up.
They also eyed the three girls weirdly. The talkative Minwoo smiled and said,
�Hey you guys new?� But by the time all the girls were screaming.
The three girls answered, �WHAT?� and left for the office to get the schedules.
Minyoung was watching them the whole time not noticing a staring eyes of Yoonsuk.
�Class we have a new student today a young lady from America her name is Kristine. Be nice to her and make sure to make her comfortable.� Teacher said out loud.
Minyoung in the middle of talking to Jonghyuk suddenly jumped up her seat
�Who?!� but then realizing her mistake she made up excuse again, �Sorry Jonghyuk told me something amusing.�
Jonghyuk gave her a look but did not say anything for he was the ultimate example of a nice guy.
But Minyoung was scared, when Kristine came into her view, she made sure her hat was on tight and none of her face features showed�
Jonghyuk looked at Minyoung�s reaction and looked at Kristine and just shrugged it off.
�It�s her the � we saw in the morning�� Regina was talking bad about her and Minyoung just wanted to knock her face out yet had to stop knowing that she is a guy as long as she was in school.
�Kristine, you can seat next to Jonghyuk, the left side and keep those girls away from him. Two people from America can be very useful.� Teacher smiled as all the girls frowned and glared at Kristine with envy and jealousy.
Kristine also did not know who Jonghyuk was. The classroom looked at her weird and also at Minyoung noticing the similarities of these two foreign students�
Once again Jonghyuk raised his hands and introduced himself as the girls
looked at him with dreamy eyes and Kristine went to her seat.
The class with Kristine was like a day long as Minyoung tried very hard to cover up and not saying a word to Jonghyuk the whole time.
Finally the lunch bell rang and they all head out to the cafeteria.
Kristine met up with the two girls and started talking about their new classes.
They were walking to the cafeteria and saw many girls crowding a single guy and all the weird stuff Minyoung saw the first day.
Minyoung was eyeing them the whole time not catching Jonghyuk staring at her worriedly.
�Um, Minyoung are you ok? Why are you staring at them?� Jonghyuk asked in a worried tone. Finally realizing that she had left him out the whole day
Minyoung gave him a smile and said, �Oh, they looked familiar to me� you know from America! But I guess I am just hallucinating.� Minyoung said and tried to sound casual about it.
By the time Minyoung looked back, the three girls were already gone.
�Oh no�� When Minyoung and Jonghyuk entered cafeteria, she saw the three girls seating at Shinhwa and Fly To The Sky�s table.
She wanted to go say something to them but she knew she couldn�t. She just looked with anxiety.
In the meantime, Regina and her crowd went up to them. Regina was furious at the fact that they were touching Yoonsuk�s gift that she bought specially for
him.
�You girls are so dead�� She was cut off short by the entrance of Shinhwa and Fly To The Sky. They also looked at her weird but then just shrugged it off and walked to them.
�Hey you guys, must be new here but this is our table.� Minwoo said trying to explain the situation. Amy and Grace got really red in the face and tried to
walk to another table where they can hide their faces.
Kristine just stared at him and suddenly shot up, �Who said this is your table? We have the right to seat wherever we want. We have freedom.� And suddenly
closed her mouth thinking this is Korea� Minwoo eyed her again and slightly chuckled.
The three girls got up and went to another seat knowing that they can�t win.
�Man we need Minyoung for that kind of stuff�� Few people at the table heard
Kristine�s voice. Dongwan and Yoonsuk� Their eyes shot up at the hearing of her name.
�Earth to Minyoung!� Jonghyuk was saying for the third time as Minyoung was looking at the event fuming with anger.
�Oh, hey guys sorry about that.� Minyoung finally came back to the reality.
�Geez, if I knew you any better Minyoung, I say you have crush on those three girls.� Taehyung said as he was laughing out loud.
Minyoung just shrugged him off and started eating away.
�By the way guys, did I tell you about my brilliant plan? Wait I can�t tell you guys anymore plans, last time I think someone told on her. She caught me but
this time she won�t� Let me just tell you guys that Euny, the girl that I played on is involved��
Minyoung�s eyes shot up at the horrible statement. �How dare you Taehyung� I am not going to let you get away with this� her soft heart does not need to be beaten up again by you!�
The class dragged on as Minyoung kept looking over at Kristine. To her luck, her name was not once mentioned and she did not have to speak once the whole day. She was safe.
The school ended as Minyoung exited quickly trying to get home fast and change so that she can meet up with her friends. That thought just made her very happy. She was running when she was stopped by a figure� Yoonsuk.
�Minyoung, I told you many times and this time you are not getting away� take off your hat.� This totally freaked her out and Minyoung was panicking when she saw another guy standing next to him. �His partner in crime?� Minyoung thought as her mind was telling her to get away�
