CO-CURRICULAR

Working at Centennial has given me the opportunity to be involved in many extracurricular activities. Some of them include, A Fashion show, Student council staff advisor, Cougar Pride staff advisor, Improv Club staff advisor, Coordinated many school assemblies etc. Details may be found below;

Free The Children I am the staff supervisor for the 'Free The Children' chapter at Centennial. We have had a number of fundraisers, inlcuding dances, candy kabobs and a trivia night. Most recently, we are sponsoring a child in Africa.

Relay For Life ( May 2006 ) Coordinated and supervised another Relay For Life event, while trying to increrase the amount we raised in 2004. This year our school raised just under $35 000 dollars.

Relay For Life ( May 2004 ) Coordinated and supervised a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. This was a school and community based function which involved a large number of individuals. We raised over $25 000 dollars, the largest one day fundraiser in DSBN history. (This record has been broken by Grimsby S.S.).

Fashion show ( November 2000 )
Coordinated a variety of groups to organize and present the show. All proceeds were donated to Family and Children's Services of Niagara (FACS ).

Student Council Advisor
Helped coordinate and supevise a variety of events. Worked on several fundraisers and supervised many social actvities. Some of these have included, Dance and Semi-formal supervisions and most recently a Charity walk for the Welland Hospital.

Improv Club
With the help of some interested students an Improv club was started in the 2001/2002 school year. I facilitated the practices with the students and have performed at several school assemblies.
