As the sanguine wolf lies sleeping
In the coldness of the skies,
The Black King lost his own son
And the whale closed her eyes.
The winter was fast approaching,
The wheat was a golden hue,
But weeds were now encroaching
So the good crops would be few.
And Phoebus was at the horizon.
Soon the darkness spread upon the land.
Then the Lord said, "I will send you my Son."
And he held out his open hand.
But blood rained down upon the wheat,
And the weeds began their mighty conquest --
Until the Lamb came to take his seat,
so that the night brought rest.
Since harvest time had not yet come,
The Lamb would keep the snows away.
But weeds already choked some,
And the night would not yield to a warm day.
But the sun will ARISE
And the wheat will shine,
And we'll hear God's triumphant CRIES:
"This wheat's MINE --
And the harvest shall begin!"
The Sociasterideus: the social union under God:
Our souls will once again be clean,
And the harvest will at last bring Salvation to us
under -- His golden Rod!
