On September 5, 2002, Tammie
Habhegger called me to say she received injuries related to her hernias. She
was in Thorp, Wisconsin, about to enter a business with a glass
door. At that point, her hernias popped out on her right side. This
causes her excruciating pain. She
fell forward through the glass door. She received numerous cuts
resulting in having to have stitches in one hand. She still has a
piece of glass in one hand. This
illustrates how a medical condition causing chronic pain can result in
additional injuries if left untreated.
