NUCLEAR KALIEDOSCOPE
March 1984
CHORUS: Nuclear Kaliedoscope
Where will you now go
Destroying People Places Things
And all the Beliefs we know
Devastation and aggravation
Your calling cards they are
When people hear your mighty Blasts
Man do they run far
You are known around the world
For your accuracy
I hope one of the targets you are
Pointed at isnt me
CHORUS
Though almost none can escape you
Many are willing to try
They dont want to end up in
That Reactor in the sky
It hardly matters anyway
How and when you hide and where
Radiation from nuclear Bombs can travel
Almost anywhere
CHORUS
When people hear your Whistle in the sky
They wonder what it could be
While Im sleeping in my bed
The last one to know is me
I sit up in my bed and am astonished at
What I shouldnt have lived to see
A barren, deadened, wretched slum
That used to be New York City
CHORUS
I scrounge for food and live alone
For, it seems, almost eternity
Im forever on the lookout for other lucky
People who are like me
For I will weep for the rest of my days
If Im the only one to see
What happens when the human race finally
Discovers Technology
CHORUS (2x)
