When a shadow appeared before my eyes. My heart went da-thump, da-thump. I was somewhat afraid, but didn't know why. Why was I so foolish, and so scared? It was no big deal, But I couldn't help, But utter a scream. I closed my eyes, Hoping it was a dream. I really wanted The shadow to disappear, But when I opened up my eyes, It was still here. This wasn't an illusion, this is reality. I gasped and looked at it in shock. It looked at me And our eyes locked. It's eyes glowed with evil And it's mouth formed a wicked grin. "Why is this happening?" I cried, "I never even committed a sin." I lost all hope. I tried to run, But my feet was rooted to the ground. This was so not fun. The thing smiled, And lashed out at me. I just stood there, How worthless could I be? It sliced my cheek With its sharp claws. It moved so gracefully, Without any flaws. The blood trickled down my face, And I felt the pain. I wanted to whimper And complain, But I didn't say a word As it continued to attack me. I fought and I struggled, But I couldn't get free. It stabbed and ripped the pieces within me. It had so much power, I was afraid That it will devour me. It didn't, But I still felt that I should cry Because I knew That I would die. It was no use, my heart ceased to beat, I was breathing no longer. I gave up Because I was already a goner. |
