It was All Hallow's Eve, and something terrible was about to happen.
"Brad just broke up with me!" Elizabeth cried.
"Why?" asked Sandra.
"I don't know. Do you know what he said? He said, 'It's not you, it's me. Let's just be friends, OK?' Gosh, I mean he couldn't even think of a better excuse," Elizabeth explained.
"Ugh! Listen, Liz, you don't need him. You're smart and you're strong willed. You'll get over him," replied Sandra.
"But I love him," sobbed Elizabeth.
"I'll go get us a drink, OK?" Sandra said as she got up to go to the dining room. We're at this really cool Halloween party, why can't she lighten up? The most popular girl at school is throwing this party, it's totally cool. Besides, there are so many cute guys here, Sandra thought.

As Elizabeth was waiting for Sandra to return with the drinks, a mysterious man approached her. He looked as if he was a little bit older than her, but his eyes seemed ancient. He was tall, dark, and handsome. He was dressed all in black. I bet he's trying to be the Grim Reaper or something, Elizabeth thought. Then again, he was movie star handsome. If I wasn't so depressed about Brad, I might actually be thrilled, Elizabeth thought.
"Hi, my name's Joshua," the guy said.
"Elizabeth, just call me Liz," Elizabeth said as she introduced herself.
"Liz, I must say that you are by far the most beautiful girl in this room, not to mention your great outfit," Joshua said.
Elizabeth laughed because she was dressed as an ugly, old witch.
"You mean this old thing?" Elizabeth asked.
"Liz, do you have a minute?" he asked.
"Sure," Elizabeth replied.
"Would you mind coming with me upstairs?" he asked. Elizabeth followed him up the spiral staircase. What do I have to lose, Elizabeth thought.

When Sandra returned, Elizabeth was already gone.
"Where'd she go?" Sandra wondered out loud.
"Where'd who go?" asked her boyfriend, who was looking everywhere for her and finally spotted her.
"Elizabeth. I mean she was depressed about Brad and all. Where could she have possibly gone?" Sandra questioned.
"I'm sure she's fine. She's a big girl. Why don't we dance?" asked her boyfriend. Sandra and her boyfriend headed towards the dance floor.

Meanwhile, Joshua led Elizabeth toward the bedroom. When they entered, he motioned for her to sit on the bed.
What now, thought Elizabeth.
"Close your eyes," he said.
"Why?" Elizabeth asked.
"Just do so, OK. Please?" he asked. Elizabeth obeyed. She heard footsteps and a door opening and closing.
"OK, you may open your eyes now," a different voice said. Elizabeth opened her eyes, and saw a strange man. He looked similar to Joshua, but a little older. They're probably brothers, she thought. He was also handsome, but he was also more quiet. Most of all, he was very mysterious. It was kind of scary, but Elizabeth decided to take a risk. He moved closer to her. He leaned towards her. His breath smelled as if he just ate a "Winterfresh" gum. Elizabeth's heart was beating furiously, but she didn't back away. She wanted to know what would happen.

The mysterious man started to kiss her. It was nice, yet also cold and weird. It was definitely different from Brad's kiss. It didn't bother Elizabeth, she was so depressed that she didn't care. She needed something different in her life.

The man's lips started to travel down her chin and on to her neck. All of a sudden, she felt something sharp stab through her neck. She started to feel pain go through her body, and then she felt herself being drained of blood. She began to feel unconscious. Then Elizabeth realized that someone was feeding her something thick and sticky. It was a liquid material that tasted metallic.

Elizabeth then realized that all she could see was total darkness. She felt her body become limp and fragile. She saw herself floating through time. All of a sudden, images flashed before her eyes. She saw cavemens, and early civilizations. There was this scene that seemed familiar, but Liz had never even seen or heard fo it before. It was a scene of small tribes in a valley. There were 2 young ladies called Maya and Hellewise. Hellewise has the looks of a blond angel. Maya, on the other hand, had the looks of darkness. She had dark hair and an evil soul. The people in these tribes had healing abilities and they were mostly women. In a way, they were considered good witches or hearthwomen.

Later on, Maya became thirsty for life. She wanted to be immortal, she wanted to live forever. In order to do this, she had to become a semi-monster. There was only one method to live forever. She had to suck human blood to remain young and pretty, and to continue living. Maya was so determined to be immortal, she would have done it at any cost. So, that's what became of Maya. She became the world's first vampire. Hellewise remained a witch. She tried to stop Maya, but she never succeeded. All of Maya's decendants were known as lamia, the original born vampires. The made vampires are the humans that were bitten by vampires and also had a blood exchange. Of course, the lamia are stronger than the made vampires. After this, Elizabeth saw pictures of the different generations of vampires, until she witnessed the vampires of today.

All of a sudden, Elizabeth woke up. Her eyelids felt heavy and her body felt strange. Her neck seemed to be sore. She touched her neck, and found 2 teeth marks. She started to feel scared. She discovered that she had canine teeth. Then the realization hit her. She was bitten by a vampire. Now she was one of them. The expression on her face was one of extreme horror.

Despite her horror, a picture of Brad's face flashed before her eyes. It left her with the feeling of love, happiness, sadness, hatred, and loneliness. Then an idea lit up in her brain. REVENGE!!! Elizabeth's lips formed a wicked grin.
