One cold December morning, a hunter was looking for rabbits in the snowy mountains of Asia. He came across the most peculiar thing. A young man and a young woman were frozen in the icy river. The strangest part was, the young man was the hairiest person the hunter had ever seen. Hair sprouted from the arms and legs of the man. The hair that grew out of his scalp reached all the way to his ankles. The hunter was so frightened that he quickly ran to notify the sheriff. The young man reminded the villagers of the Gregon. The Gregon was a legendary monster that lived in the snowy mountains. He was an extremely hairy creature. No one knew for sure what the Gregon was, and how it came to be. No one knew how the young man and the young woman had ended up in the river. Most outsiders just assumed that they fell in, but everywhere in the village, there were whispers of a mysterious legend. Twenty years ago, a man and his eight year old son went hunting in the snowy mountains of Asia. One day, the little boy got lost. He looked everywhere for his father, but he didn't find a soul. The little boy was very thirsty, so he started eating the snow. With each bite of the snow, the boy lost more of his humanity. Until one day, the boy lost his identity, and forgot that he was human. Ten years after the boy was reported missing, a family of three went skiing in those same snowy mountains. One gloomy day, the married couple was arguing like crazy. Their teenage daughter felt the need to escape from all this quarreling. After a while, she realized that she was lost. The girl became thirsty, but then she remembered that she had left her water bottle in the cabin. She decided to eat some of the snow, thinking that it couldn't harm her. All of a sudden, a hairy monster appeared before her eyes. The girl blinked, as if she didn't believe what she was seeing, and then she screamed. The Gregon stared at the girl, as if she was the strangest thing he had ever seen. Somehow, he felt the need to stop her from eating the snow. He didn't know why, but he felt that it was a necessity. He needed to chase her away. The girl ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. As she was running down the steep mountain, she slipped and fell. She hit her head on a rock and became unconscious. The Gregon continued to chase her. When he noticed her fallen body, he scooped her up into his arms. Unfortunately, he too, slipped, and they both went sliding down the mountain. Right before they fell in the river, the Gregon noticed the hair plastered on the girl's face. He realized what a beautiful creature she was. All of a sudden, his heart skipped a beat. It was something that he never felt before. It was a foreign concept to him. On a blind impulse, the Gregon gently touched his lips against hers, and they both fell into the icy, freezing river.    ![]() |
