My Personal Website

The hatred is throwing stakes at my heart.
The hatred is burning fires in my town.
Everywhere I look,
I see German faces filled with frowns.
We were forbidden to use public facilities
And driven out of work.
Soon we were put in ghettos
Where only the shadow lurks.
I am becoming skinny and weak,
And yellowish too.
I am slowly dying,
And I don't know what to do.
My people have been cremated and gassed.
The suffering and depression has been too much.
When I see a German, I become frozen,
Fearful of their touch.
I am living in agony.
I am about to explode.
I want to cry for help
Because I know I have reached
The end of the road.
My time has come,
I am about to die.
I will take one last breath,
One last look at the sky.
It is a tragedy
Because I know I will not live to be old.
Even now,
I can feel my heart turning cold.
I am about to surrender, I admit defeat.
I have no more strength and no more wits.
Before I go, I will take one last smile,
And now I will join my friends at the deathbed of Auschwitz
