"My Date With a Vampire" is an epic vampire love story. It is a Hong Kong Movie
with Cantonese dialogue. "My Date With a Vampire" Part I starts off with a vampire in the 20th century.
He was bitten 60 years ago by the king of vampires (aka Jerng-son). This guy also had a foster son who was
actually 68 years old, but is in the body of a child. Together, they go through the adventure of love and life.
This girl falls in love with the main character (Phoung Teen-yao). This girl's best friend happened to be a vampire
huntress. She is in the Ma family, whom are very powerful against vampires. There is a Ma in every generation, which
is kind of like the slayer. The Ma slayer can not cry over a man or else they lose their powers. The slayer also falls in
love with Teen-yao. When they find out that he was a vampire, they were still friends. Later, Teen-Yao finds his old rival
from the war between China and Japan. Teen-Yao was a revolutionist, while his enemy was a Japanese general. They hated each other,
and they were both vampires. The Japanese guy also happened to be the soulmate of Teen-Yao's girlfriend (Jun-Jun), so he
tried to take her. In the battle at the end of the movie, they both transformed and looked like trolls. In the end, they redid history.
In Part II, Teen-Yao's grandson was a cop who was dating Jun-Jun and was friends with
Ma Seal-ling. His grandson then died, and somehow Teen-Yao was passing by and ended up impersonating him.
Teen-Yao was still a vampire then. A whole bunch of weird things happened after that. The Japanese general died years
ago, but Teen-Yao accidentally influenced the general's little grandson. When the grandson grew up, he became obsessed
with vampires. He finally ended up being one. He fell in love with a girl and they had a son. The son
grew up rapidly, and even grew old rapidly. Even though, he was monster-like, the baby had this cute innocence about him.
Meanwhile, Teen-Yao found Jerng-son, his creater. Jerng-son seemed a lot different than he did before. He was not a bad guy.
In fact, Ma Seal-ling (the slayer)'s aunt actually fell in love with him. Because of her love for him, her aunt lost her powers.
Unfortunately, Jerng-son's heart mostly consisted of his goddess. His goddess created earth and took care of him. Now his
goddess wants to end the world. Teen-Yao and Seal-ling had to battle the forces of darkness and fate in order to stop the end
of the world. In the end, armageddon came. Fuc-sung (the 68 year old kid) and his little girlfriend were the only ones left.
It was their duty to rewrite or restart history.
This movie is full of futeristic action mixed with some old fashion fighting techniques. Their vampires
are a blend of Dracula's descendants and the traditional Chinese vampires. Are you into Roswell, Buffy, and Angel?
If you like horrific action, romantic stories, and you don't mind being a little confused, than this movie is the one for you!
