One bizarre day, my friends and I were walking down a desert path. It was a real boring, hot, and humid day, so no one talked much. We walked on in silence. All of a sudden, we came along these weird looking creatures. They were short with green colored, lumpy skin. They spoke in languages we couldn't comprehend. It was a bunch of gibberish. We secretly suspected that they were aliens, creatures from another planet. In the blink of an eye, the leader of the alien gang was waving his finger towards us. It looked like he was shouting a command. Arrows, bullets, and fireballs were flying right at us. There was no mercy and barely any time to escape. the wind was blowing ferociously behind us, forcing us to move closer to the arrows. We screamed in fear. An arrow missed my ear by an inch. A fireball raced towards one of my friends. He was a great athlete, so he made a quick duck, just as the fireball flew by. It missed him by a millisecond. Roger, my witty and brave friend, screamed at the top of his lungs, "Everyone, lie down flat on our stomachs and crawl away!" Most of us understood what he meant, even if we didn't, we followed his order anyway because we didn't know what else to do. On our way to escape, we gathered as many arrows that flew on the floor as possible. We were planning to use it as weapons, even if it wasn't deadly. Luckily, we found a big, fat rock that we were all able to hide behind. We used it as a shield to block off all the arrows, bullets, fireballs, and chaos. For a while, we just sat there and screamed at the top of our lungs. Somehow, that seemed to help calm us down. Once our fear subsided, we had a renewed amount of adrenaline. We were fighting wildly, without showing any sign of fear. I knew that deep down inside, we were frightened like hell. Still, we remained fighting. I don't know how, but we managed to defeat most of them. Only a small group of green creatures stood before us. Was the worst almost over? I predict not! All of a sudden, another group of aliens approached us from the west. There were even monkeys with them. The monkeys looked like regular monkeys, but we knew that they were alien monkeys. Anyway, to our surprise, the aliens started to close in on us on all sides. We were surrounded and outnumbered. Oh, no! We looked for a chance to escape, but we could not find one. "Hurry, climb up to the tallest mesa, so they can't reach us. We would be safer up there. Once you get up there, lie flat on your stomachs," Todd commanded. We did so obediently. We scrambled up the mesa as fast as we could. Many of us slipped off, but in the end, we managed to reach the top. Thank goodness. All of a sudden, another group started to approach us. They looked slightly different. They had a sense of authority around them, but also a sense of kindness. We were all wondering if we could trust them. To our surprise, Sammy, the shiest girl in our group, spoke. "Don't worry, we can trust them, they're on our side. They are Goddess Tulip's special soldiers," Sammy told us. Funny enough, we believed her. After all, they did look like saints. All of a sudden, before I even knew it, we were transferred to a different location. We were in the desert, but we were outside of a cave. It wasn't any ordinary cave, it was more like the alien's secret hideout. It was kind of like their fortress. Most of the aliens and Goddess Tulip's soldiers were battling inside. Some of my friends were even in there. There were still some aliens outside of the cave trying to get in. My girlfriends and I were kind of scared, so we stayed outside. Our duty was to guard the outside aliens from going in. Anyway, like I said, I was out there with my friends Jannett and Kate. Then my conscience started to speak to me. I knew that the people inside were risking their lives for us and all we do for them is keep watch. I guess I kind of felt guilty, so I decided to go in there and help them out. I told my friends that I was going to go in. They didn't seem to care. I suppose that they were too frightened and all they could think about was their own survival. When I went in, it looked like some underground secret hideout. There were many rooms and a long hallway. I kept on getting the feeling that an alien is going to pop out and kill me. Of course, that didn't happen. All I saw so far were dead monkeys. I walked a little more and peeked into a room. It looked like a game room. I saw three of my friends (Casey, Nick, and Johnny) playing pool. On the floor were a couple of dead monkeys and aliens. I was too surprised to speak. How could they have fun when there is such danger we must surpass, I wondered. I walked on in bewilderment. My heart was pounding so rapidly, I thought it would pop out of my chest. There was no sign of an alien anywhere, but my instincts told me that there will be soon. My fear conquered me, and I ran as fast as I could. I joined Jannett and Kate to defend the alien's cave. After a while, which seemed more like centuries to me, the outside aliens disappeared. Since the duty of guarding the cave was no longer needed, I suggested that we should go in the cave and help fight those pathetic creatures. My friends were still a little shaky, but they reluctantly agreed. I mentioned that we should stick together, but when we entered the cave, we somehow lost sight of one another. I wanted to run back out, but my conscience beckoned me to stay. Anyway, I was walking alone through the empty hallway when I spotted an ugly, bald, green colored alien. I uttered a loud gasp. I hope the alien hadn't seen or heard me. I prayed that he couldn't sense me, because for all I know, sensory could be the aliens' sixth sense. I only had a second's hesitation before I started to think. I knew I had to run like the wind and choose a wise path, so he can't figure out where I'm going. I ran around wildly. First I turned right, and then I turned to the left. I did that a couple of times, hoping to make him confused. I took the elevator, which were the elevators that looked like the ones you would most likely see in a construction site (the ones that were made of wire) to the lowest level. Then I took the stairs for a while, after that, I took the elevator all the way up to the balcony. I intended to stay there and prayed that I got the alien so confused that he lost sight of me. I was relieved for a while because I didn't see him, but to my surprise, there he was, ten minutes later. ![]() |
