Strasbourg
St. Nicolas Church in Strasbroug
As a researcher of Church History, it seems very useful for me to do it in Europe. If only I make a little effort, I can clearly see the historic relics and feel the spirituality of Church history there.
In February of 2001, I was invited by my a Korean colleague who studies in Strasbourg and serving a Korean church of Strasbourg. Thus I could look into the vestiges of Calvin.
In spite of long distance from Calvin's time and my own, in some places I could felt his footsteps. The old church in the Photo is believed as the church where John Calvin has preached. Further, in this small church, it is sure that Albert Schweitzer had worked as a preacher, before he went to Africa as a missionary.(*)
