The past few weeks you have been going through a process of judgment.  It started with Virgo, where you saw what you needed to change about yourself.  On Rosh Hashanah, you planted seeds for the New Year.  During the Ten Days of Cleansing and on Yom Kippur, you reviewed your work and found more things to change about yourself.

It was a challenging time to say the least.  When you look at what you need to change, its always difficult.  Lets face it, no one wants to see that theyre an angry person, or jealous, or insecure.  Its not a pleasant process.

This week were in a different rhythm than weve been in for the last few weeks.  The High Holidays create very intense energy, so there might be the tendency to take it easy.  Its human nature to fall into this trap after such hard work has been done.

But dont fall - your work is not done.

We are now entering the second part of the whole holiday process.  It begins with
Sukkot.

The purpose of Sukkot is to inject light into the vessel you built.  You spent the last few weeks removing all of your negativity.  You threw out all of the garbage, and now youre clean.  So now what? BRING THE LIGHT IN!

The Zohar says that the energy of Sukkot is the energy of mercy.

During the first part of the holiday process youve sealed in how much Light youre going to get for the coming year.  The question is, do you want to get it with difficulty and judgment, or with ease and mercy?

What is mercy?  Mercy allows you to change yourself.  It is the time between cause and effect.  If you create a short circuit by stealing or lying, you create effects.  If there was no mercy, youd feel the negative effects of your actions immediately.  Mercy allows you time to change yourself - without judgment.

As you have experienced, the hardest thing to understand is what real sharing is.  When are you sharing or not?  Should you tell someone whats wrong with them is that sharing?  Or is it sharing not to say something?  How do you know?  Its not clear how to be merciful and without judgment.

But there are five days between Yom Kippur and Sukkot where you can see what sharing is simply by
sharing with no calculation.  Dont think about it!  Dont think about who youre giving to or what youre giving just do it.

You might also be feeling, well, a little off these days.  Its because you received an enormous amount of Light.  What happens when you keep Light without sharing?  You short-circuit.  So to balance yourself out, you have to share.

Whatever you create, you get.  When you put out negativity, it comes back to you.  When you love, it comes back.  The energy of the Light is to share, so to get Light back, you must share.  Its like relationships you have to keep giving to get.

And all of the sharing you do stays with you, in a sort of spiritual bank account.

These 13 days until the end of Simchat Torah (the week after Sukkot) you have the opportunity to fill up your spiritual bank account.  Call it the rainy day account. Having enough energy in this bank account is what will keep you from being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  It is also where you can borrow from during the year in times of difficulty.

The manifestation for all the Light in your life is now.

All the Best,
Yehuda
