| "The big thing is to remember that God is in control and if we leave everything in His hands and in His time, things work out so nicely. You have said yourself that you are not ready for a relationship right now. So act like it. Make note that this could be the guy and turn the page. If so, time will tell. In the meantime, be who you are. Be a friend. If there will be anything in the future, let it be in the future. "Or maybe he will not be the one. But what you have seen is that there really are great guys out there that love the Lord as much as you do and think similarly to you when it comes to Kingdom stuff. It can be wonderful. Again, remember that when the time is right, things will work out how they should. Remember that I have been praying off and on for you and him (whoever he may be) since you were a baby. That's almost 19 years. Remember that God finds you and your thoughts and feelings even more important than I do. "Just keep preparing yourself for your husband ... God. And in the preparations, you will be preparing yourself for your earthly husband as well. Remember that the man you are interested in will have a passion for God and will be looking for a woman with whom he can share that. And he will be looking for a woman with whom to share the work of the kingdom that he will be involved in. At a minimun, he will want a woman who can support the work he will be invovled in. ..."May our Lord continue to prepare you for your husband and your husband for you. May you learn by your relationship the the Bridegroom what it means to be the wife of a Godly man and when the time comes, may you learn from your husband what it means to be the bride of Christ. May you future husband learn from the best Husband of all what it means to be the husband of a Godly woman." -- my mom |
| I know you've had it rough with this stuff over the past few years. I'm so sorry it hurts so much. I know you know, but death is a part of life. And if the people who die are Christians when they die, as Bryce was, your father was, Kathy Ralston was, Mrs. Maine was, and I'm relatively sure Grandma was, then it is not the end. They are waiting for us at home when we finish our journey. The only thing I know of comfort for those who didn't know God in life is that we have no idea if they may have accepted him in their last hours or seconds. If they've heard, then they had a chance even at the last minute. But you know that it [the pain] will go away when God's kingdom is finally here on earth. |

| As for you ... I can't believe you forgot! What makes you righteous?! Your works?! Since when, if that were the case, have you ever been righteous? Baby, baby, baby, you ARE righteous because of - and ONLY because of - the sacrifice of our righteous Lord. And ... that HAS NOT changed since you gave your life to Him in the first place. Yes? Of course, you should do your best to be in obedience. But if you are not, and you are having trouble desiring to be obedient, then what better place to have that taken care of than in a group of people praying? Ask for it from those who care, you know what I mean? And ... if you desire to pray and just got into a slump, is it possible that you are now under attack in the area of confidence to keep you down on yourself so you won't do the very thing that will stop the attack AND the slump - pray? Please trust me on this. There is a general attack on intercessors that they may get side tracked and stop praying. You are not the only one. Remember, there is a war and one of the factions of the warriors of the kingdom of God is the intercessors. Everything that happens in the kingdom happens under the covering of the prayers of the saints, us. If you've been called to pray, don't let anything stop you from doing just that. Our brothers and fellow soldiers need our covering. Our nation needs our covering. Our leaders cannot make good and wise decisions without our covering. Prophets do not see what the Leader is telling the soldiers to do without prayer. And so on. Are you beginning to see its importance? If you have even a tiny desire to pray, do it. Allow nothing to stop it. No attack, no slump, no complacency, nothing. The eternal lives of many are dependant on it. Now you may say that you are only one, but how many of us do you think have a tendency to say that. Trust me, it is plenty. For everyone that prays when they are not necessarily feeling like it, there can be one who has forgotten to pray that we pray for. In the process, many are awakened. If I heard our Warrior King correctly, it's time! Now! Let no weariness, no lie from His enemy, nothing get in the way. We are called. We are righteous because of Him. And the prayers of a righteous man avails much. I'm just beginning to see how important the prayers of even one of God's people are ... and how effective. Remember also, that there is an exponential factor involved here. It says that one can put a thousand to flight and two can put ten thousand to flight. |
